Meet the Biggest Video Game Badass of All Time
Posted at 4:06 PM Mar 27, 2008
I'm sure I'll be getting a little grief for this, as I doubt many of the nerds reading TR give two shits about sports video games. But I'm excited as hell that the NES-era football game Tecmo Bowl is coming back (for the Wii!), and I just wanted to take a moment to let everyone know that the biggest video game badass of all time isn't Sephiroth, Master Chief, Solid Snake or any of those posers—it's Tecmo Bowl Bo Jackson. And here's the proof.
Bo knows. Bo knows. (Via MachoChip)

Kinda makes you want to watch ProStars, doesn't it?
Posted 03/27/2008 at 01:35:20 PMOK, granted, I am not a fan of sports or sports games at all, but even I can see the programming error here: Jackson went offsides THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF THE FIELD, and then came back to score the touchdown.
Posted 03/27/2008 at 04:34:30 PMNothing, and I mean Nothing beats NES Pro Bowl. I rule you.
Posted 03/27/2008 at 07:58:18 PMSorry DJ Maniak, but he never goes offsides. Once the ball is snapped you can run all over the field. Offsides is called if someone is across the line of scrimmage when the ball is snapped.
Posted 03/31/2008 at 02:44:28 PMUsed to run that same play all day long. Called the Wee Play because as you zig-zag you go "wee wee wee wee."
Posted 04/02/2008 at 11:24:42 AMWar Eagle, 8 bit Bo. War Eagle.
Posted 04/04/2008 at 07:43:59 PM@DJ Maniak:
Offsides? Everything done here is perfectly legal, however improbable. :)
Posted 04/04/2008 at 07:50:49 PMThis is actually Tecmo Super Bowl, not the original Tecmo Bowl.
There is only one way to stop Bo,
LT!
