Marvel Movie News Trifecta: Captain America, Thor, Spider-Man
? As I totally called, the Captain America movie will be set in World War II. I can’t wait to see this movie?especially if Cap punches Hitler?but I’ll still be shocked if mass audiences are ready for a superhero period flick. I hope to god if it tanks it’s doesn’t affect the Avengers movie, but it almost certainly will. In better news, the rumors circulating that Matthew MacConaughey was attached to Cap are false, thank Sweet Zombie Jesus.
? Meanwhile, the Thor movie will be a fantasy which takes place mostly?but not exclusively?in Asgard. Marvel says they would like Brad Pitt to play Thor. In related news, I would like Angelina Jolie to give me an erotic massage. I imagine we both have the same chances of getting our wishes.
? There’s no guarantee that there will be a Spider-man 4, but screenwriter James Vanderbilt has turned in a script?as well as a script for Spidey 5. The movies will tell one story, and be able to be filmed back to back, so if we get one, we’re almost certainly getting both.
