The Hulk CG Gets a Bit o' Spit and Polish

There are yet more Hulk TV trailers today, but rather than post them, I'll post the only interesting things about them, which is that they've tweaked the much criticized Hulk CG model a bit. The geniuses at First Showing had the above comparison, which shows Hulk with more rumpled hair, a tattered shirt, and overall a less shiny look. It's not incredible (ahem), but it is better, don't you think?

It would be more incredible if Marvel simply found massive, unknown actors to play the Hulk and Abomination and let the makeup wizards go to town. I mean, really, wouldn't it have been easier, cheaper and more convincing?
Posted 05/19/2008 at 01:43:48 PMUm, no. It's not really much better. It's like taking a steaming pile of dog crap and, well, putting a cute little hat on it. Easier on the eyes? Yes. But it's still a steaming pile of dog crap.
