Visit Sunny, Depressing, Unbelievably Doomed Caprica

The Sci-Fi Channel released a promo trailer for Battlestar Galactica prequel Caprica yesterday, and I'm rather confused, as I was under the assumption that Caprica was going to be a science fiction series. Yet the trailer just shows Eric Stoltz and crew gabbing and running around and making each other uncomfortable in a very normal city setting (although, there did appear to be a neat futuristic tennis court). I suppose since they're all going to die hideously anyways, it doesn't much matter.

Typically I'm with you 100% (and love the articles) but I gotta say it seems like your comment misses the point. From what I'm hearing we get to see the origin of the skinjobs. Sounds like a pretty cool concept and very sci-fi.

Yawn. Looks kind of boring. Not to be nitpicking, but doesn't this run counter to the established history? And what is up with the guy saying that their real name is Adama. Who wrote this, George Lucus.

I find Battlestar Galactica kinda yawn-inducing anyway.
So, no big loss with a junky prequel.
