Anime Expo started today, and the first big announcement is that Funimation has the rights to make/distribute certain Geneon DVDs, according to ANN, which answers about 65% of the mail I get at Anime Insider. Here's the list of anime titles included:

Ergo Proxy, Hellsing Ultimate, Black Lagoon, Black Lagoon Second Barrage, Karin, Kyo kara Maoh! Season 2, Lyrical Nanoha, Elemental Gelade, Fate/stay night, Kamichu, the live-action Ninja Vixens work, Paradise Kiss, Rozen Maiden, Rozen Maiden - Träumend, Shana, Shonen Onmyouji, The Familiar of Zero, The Story of Saiunkoku, When They Cry - Higurashi, and The Law of Ueki.

I'm having a hard time remembering any Geneon licenses that aren't on this list, so even though Funimation says "certain" Geneon titles, it looks like "most Geneon titles, no matter how unpopular." It seems like a lot of trouble and a lot of money to get Hellsing: Ultimate, but whatever. It certainly will make the fans happy.

That list really is no where near the amount of titles that Geneon had licensed. Just to name a few: Trigun, Gungrave, Last Exile, Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo, Read or Die: The TV, Heat Guy J. It looks like the titles that are being distributed constitute the most recent Geneon releases. That is, the ones that were released just prior to Geneon's demise. I had quickly purchased Ergo Proxy, Black Lagoon (missed the first disc for the second season, though), and the first two DVDs of The Story of Saiunkoku just before the plug was pulled.

I'm not much of a fan of FUNimation since, like ADV, they use in-house dubbing and the voice artists just don't compare with the likes of ZRO Limit, Bang Zoom! or The Ocean Group.

Anyway, the full list of Geneon titles can be found at Anime News Network:

Thank god at least some have been saved. There is a lot of Geneon's titles that I never bought because I was waiting for the boxsets/thinpacks and then Bam! The proverbial kick in the nonads.

You forgot Seirei no Moribito which Geneon had announced for license but never released. Media Blasters announced earlier this year that they're releasing it and showing it on Cartoon Network. Frankly, it's probably the title I'm most looking forward to this year.
