James T. Kirk...worst driver ever?

not even close, my gran has crashed 6 cars in the last 4 years.

This isn't great, nor is it terrible. It's just kind of there. For being so secretive about everything for so long, I have to admit that I was expecting more.

So if the guy who made Lost is making this film, does that mean you watch the entire movie thinking it's the greatest thing you have ever ever seen, then two weeks later realise that nothing actually happened in said movie and that in fact, when all was said and done, it was shit?

I don't care how shitty it's going to be, I'll be there opening night.

I thought I was watching a commercial for the first 20 seconds. I may wait a week or two before seeing it.

I think Summerson is onto something here.

As for Star Trek, the movie seems okay, at best, until the notion of a time-traveling Spock has to introduce members of the very same crew he worked on and with for years.

Casting Nimoy was just Abrams' way of getting the most of the fanboy buck. So that being said, I sincerely hope the black smoke gets JJ Abrams REAL soon.

I dunno, the rest of the movie could be good, but WTF with the car and the road and the cliff bullshit? Word to Abrams: get the fucking Phantom Menace out of my Star Trek.

Okay I love Star Trek and I love some of the tidbits from this trailer, but I need to see the official one. If just because I want a better look at the cast than the bootleg offers...and images of Uhura and her space bra aren't clear enough for my taste in this version.

After that trailer I think my time would be better spent rewatching The Menagerie. I guess I'll wait till reviews start to hit before spending my dime on it.

The first 20 seconds are pretty unneeded. But for the rest of it...*insert gushing love here*

I think the whole point of the first 20 seconds is to get you into the mindset that this is a trailer for a certain type of movie and then surprise you with the futuristic looking policeman. Most people won't know this is a Star Trek movie trailer in the theaters.

I've never watched a episode of Star Trek and am purely going to see this for Simon Pegg and his scottish accent.
I hope it will be worth the cash.

Oh wait I saw Nemesis, this looks far better.
