Marvel threw up a new trailer for its Wolverine and the X-Men cartoon, and while I'm still annoyed by the sullen loner Logan leading the team (much like I was annoyed in X-Men 3) the trailer looks pretty darn good. It's a cast mostly out of Astonishing X-Men, so there's Shadowcat and White Queen and no Jean Grey, which I'm totally fine with. But here's my question—will today's children be irrevocably changed by the White Queen? She's not wearing much more than she does in the comic, and I'm willing to bet she'll guide a few young boys down the first, murky steps to funny feelings in their bathing suit areas.

The fact that they included Nightcrawler (my favorite X-Man) makes me quite happy.

I just found out recently the entire first season has already been released abroad in Brazil and Latin America. They are up to episode 10 in Canada.
The show is pretty good so far. I don't like that wolverine is the leader, it just kind of irks me. I also don't like the way they dealt with cyclops, because clearly he and everyone who is slightly familiar with the X-men know Cyclops should be the leader.
If you've seen the Justice League episodes of "The Batman" you'll know what I'm talking about, where we are to believe Bruce Wayne is all gung-ho about starting and leading the JL.

The show has been airing and Canada for a couple of months and episodes can be found online if you look hard enough. I think its the best animated x-men yet, definitely a good companion to the spectacular spider-man. Each episode centers around one specific mutant as Logan reforms the team, so white queen isn't in every ep.

No Jean Grey seems strange to me. Seems like they're making it a pseudo-sequel to the movies though.
Well, except that Cyclops is... y'know... alive.
And why is Zordon in this?

Hmmm...I was skeptical of this show at first because I initially didn't like the character designs, and like you, I'm kind of put off by Wolverine leading the X-men. But damn, this trailer might have just changed my mind. The designs especially look way better in action!

Well I have been watching this (Currently upto Episode 9, waiting for others to download) and I got to say, it is great!! Emma Frost rocks!!
But the best is yet to come when I think it's episode 14 or so, X-23 will be in the series for one episode. And from what I seen and heard, she will be given far better treatment than what X-men Evolution gave her. As for wolverine as leader, Meh, I collect X-Force so as leader of that Black Op's team in the comics (Which ofcourse has X-23 hence my collecting it), I am ok with Wolvie as leader.

I've seen the first 9 or so episodes. The animation is great (for a tv show), and I love the stories. It's not a direct sequel to the movies, but it borrows some of the flavor. For example, Magneto in the tv show sounds a bit like Ian McKellan. The continuity is different from the comics, but I like some of the material that they reference from the source material. In my opinion, this show is right up there in quality with X-Men Evolution.

I've been watching it every week (playing now on a computer near you) and it is great!!! I was also leery of emphasis on Wolverine, but it makes sense once you watch it. As someone who came of age on mid-to-late 1980s X-Men, it's fantastic as it picks up a lot of that feel and stories. While I liked the X-Men 1990s cartoon, I didn't like the new twists (like Morph), but it was still good. However, this latest cartoon blows that one out of the water. It feels like its loyal to the comics, it's dark and beautiful. It's easy to find online, watch it now.
