Actually Talented TV Show Maker Returns to Heroes

I’m pretty devastated about the cancellation of Pushing Daisies, easily one of the best shows currently on TV, but there is a silver lining–as rumored, PD creator Bryan Fuller will use his new-found freedom to return to Heroes. As you might know, Fuller was on staff at Heroes during the show’s first season, not coincidentally when the show didn’t suck (he also wrote “Company Man,” usually considered Heroes‘ best episode). Frankly, I’d much rather have Pushing Daisies than Heroes at this point, but if PD has to die, I’m glad it’s death is at least creating a chance Heroes might stop being so monumentally stupid.

Speaking of shows that are so stupid they might actually be trying to kill you, NBC has finally canceled Knight Rider, which was–against all odds–more moronic than its ’80s predecessor starring David Hasslehoff. This is the fun canceled, where they don’t even air the remaining episodes that they paid for, and show some Law & Order repeats or something. Frankly, I would happily watch all the Knight Rider film/manuscripts/computers burn in a trash can for an hour each Wednesday.
