Considering how far and how fast BSG's ratings have fallen and the fact that Sci-Fi gave up on it and canned a fifth season; It's truly fucking shocking that Craprica has been green-lit. I don't think BSG is as popular people believe. Don't Sanctuary and Eureka get better ratings? And last I heard Doctor Who was only a few tenths of a ratings point below BSG as well. So, if anything it's in the middle. High visibility and being liked by soap fans and people who look on science fiction with contempt really doesn't add up to "big show" to me.
As for Caprica, it's going to end up being just like BSG: a drab, poorly thought out show about overgrown teens who suck at their jobs.

I kind of dig that Esai Morales is in it. Of course it may still be retarded - look what happened to Jericho.

JXN seems to consider Nielsen ratings as some sort of indicator for how good a show is. In that case, fuck off. The reason BSG has been kicked from the networks is because SciFi is a money whore and believes that playing wrestling and shitty reality shows will draw in more money to the network. They don't give a fuck about quality programming, that's why they forced the show to start doing filler episodes, and that's when the ratings went down.

I don't think this show will be great, but comparing it to BSG and saying "it's part of BSG, that's why it'll suck" is a sign of some severe mental retardation on his part.
