Reminder: Masters of the Universe Classics Are On-Sale, Like, Two Hours Ago
Posted at 1:58 PM Dec 01, 2008

Just a reminder that Mattel's Masters of the Universe Classic line--or at least the first two entries, He-Mana nd Beast Man--are now available for $20 each over at MattyCollector.com. With shipping the two figures will run you $48, which I'm certain of because I ordered mine at noon, right when the figures became available for sale. If there's every any doubt that I'm truly nerdy, please recall this moment, where I postponed toy news to make sure I myself could get a hold of He-Man figures, lest my nerd readers buy them all. What's so good about my job I wouldn't risk it by pissing off my readers to make sure I score two He-Man figures I'm already disappointed by?
Actually, Mattel is letting folks order up to 10 of each figure, so one would hope that that means there will be enough for everybody. But as we He-fans know, Mattel doesn't exactly have the greatest track record regarding figuring out what fans want, or how many. Best get over there ASAP. Why take chances?

Not getting into a debate about which figures are better, I like them all. I am very annoyed with Mattel. I was for rdering He-Man and Beastman today, yet when I put in my order etc I found out it does not accept my credit card. How do they expect the line to do well when we cannot buy them. Aaaagh. These are released today on my birthday (I am 24). I was all pumped up about getting them....they do not even accept PayPal. First thing tommorrow I am complaining to Mattel.
Posted 12/01/2008 at 11:17:36 AMThey look cool, but I'm passing. $24 for a six inch scale figure is a little more than I'm willing to cough up.
Posted 12/01/2008 at 11:18:16 AMI will try and start a campaign for Mattel UK to release these figures. Will any one else back me up on getting them to have better payment options?
Posted 12/01/2008 at 11:19:36 AMIt's such bullshit these things cost so much.
My kids like He-Man, but like hell I'm paying $20 for a small hunk of molded plastic. Oh, I'm forgetting the whole concept of these 'toys' not actually being made for 'kids'.
Posted 12/01/2008 at 12:30:15 PMI had to call my wife like 5 times to make sure she got online at 9:00 am SHARP!! Got my first two... now I wonder how hard it will be to get Fakor when he's released after the New York Con.
Posted 12/01/2008 at 10:39:29 PMI agree that the price point is a bit harsh, not having actually seen one of these buggers up close, but I bought them both anyway. Masters was the watershed line of the 1980's, and I still have faith in Mattel. In these uncertain times it is nice to have a litttle slice o' childhood back. If that makes me a 33 year old boy, then so be it.
Posted 12/02/2008 at 07:20:59 PMi cant believe the after market on the he-man already since they sold out look on ebay the he-man is already fetching around 80.00 now i guess 20.00 doesn`t looks so much for a hunk of plastic im glad i got mine the same goes for beast man fetching around 45-50 on the second market
