Green Lantern Sings "Mr. Tamborine Man"

Frankly, I'm not surprised at all that Hal Jordan speak-sings like William Shatner instead of regular sings, but I'm not sure why. It just seems like what what he'd do, along with bring up how he has no fear in every conversation during the Justice League parties. Besides, not all superheroes can sing like Batman. Hah! Hal Jordan- you overconfident jack-in-the-box! I'm glad you're being written with something resembling a human personality now.
Annd, just wondering if any fellow comic-geeks could answer this, but why is it whenever Kyle went after Major Force (...that's his name right?) for, you know, killing his girlfriend and stuffing her in a Refridgerator!!!, he was hassled/people-sought-to-prevent him from fighting MF? I know Kyle ultimately stuck MF's head in outer space (Awesome.), but I was just wondering why that happened Years after the fact.
