This is exactly why those Mac vs. PC ads backfire on Apple so egregiously. No one on earth except people who already own Macs like the Mac kid more than Hodgman - he's just too personable.

Oh, and I think Obama's geek cred was proven when he made the Jor-El joke at the Al Smith Dinner. This is just icing on the cake.

While awesomely presented, I got a bigger laugh at the crowd panning shots that showed how bored everyone there was.

I didn't vote for him, but damn this is great. I love Hodgeman and seeing Obama give the Vulcan Salute made me giddy. Marvelous.

That was just beautiful. I really hope Hodgman finishes up the audiobook of his latest pretty soon. The first audiobook he did was just amazing, and even better than the already good book.

What kinda bugs me is that he didn't mention Star Wars or Doctor Who. Ah, well, you can't win em all.

Well, Truth, it's not Obama's fault Steve Jobs got sick.

Truth is, John Hodgman is a Mac guy. One of the times Hodgman did a story for This American Life, he mentioned being in an Apple Store and the customers freaking out when they realized who he was (in a good way).

Adore him.
