i was peeved that jean wasn't in the first one as a playable character... i'm excited she's in this and i can play her!
-
OK, I wasn't excited about MUA2 before....but now I am.
-
Deadpool is great, Gambit is cool... but for the love of all, why did they have to bring back Jean Grey?
-
I may have to pick this up once it inevitably hits the bargain bin. I'm not paying full price for it, though.
-
So Wolverine deflected Iron Mans energy repulsor ray with his claws? Is there anything that wacky mutant can't do?
-
Ahhh Such a nerdgasm right now. Did you guys see Hercules AND Cable in there?! I thought I knew what my team was going to be, but this game keeps on getting cooler and cooler people. Must play....
-
And Iron Fist was posing as Daredevil. But they're changing the story in favor of making a fun game. So that is Thor.
-
Looks good. It's the first time I ever saw Cloak in a video game, that's for sure. And is that Thor, or is that Ragnarok? Thor's supposed to be MIA/dead at the time of Civil War.

Whatever, Gambit was a thrill to play as in Legends 2. He had that speed-up power that made all of his meleeing super fast... and the best part was you could run through those long corridors faster. I play as Deadpool most of the time on MUA though so I like them both. I love these games in that you feel like a dirty cheater if one of your team members has the healing factor. You virtually can't lose a single boss fight because so long as you run around away from the boss for a while that character will NEVER die.

Thanks for the breakdown on character count, Kris.. I stand corrected. Although I'm not budging on the Hulk/Thing issue. Am keep my fingers crossed for some sweet DLC characters on 360 to make up for it.
-
Thing and Hulk have two different fighting styles in MUA. Now Collosus, that was a worthless addition in MUA. There were 15 playable characters in Legends, 18-22 depending on your system in Legends II, and 25 in MUA, plus the eight additional DLC characters. And there will be DLC for MUA2, so the number should increase.

From the looks of the site, seems like there'll be 24 playable characters. Seems like there were more in legends... maybe I'm wrong and maybe the site isn't showing all the playable characters that will be included in the game. I dig the inclusion of Iron Fist and Luke Cage, but anyone else feel like playing as Hulk or Thing will be identical experience, except for character color? As fun as it is to have a bruiser type character who smashes shit, think it's kind of a waste to fill two of a limited set of character slots with both these guys. Think I would've rather seen someone with a different set of powers to add some variety to the gameplay, like an Ant Man or even Multiple Man would've been cooler.

Deadpool has come a long way into being a funny and interesting character, considering his origin as "generic 90's mercenary with guns fighting X-force". And considering how many of those guys are no longer relevent. (Maverick, anyone?)
-
You have to give it up for marvel with their SUPER pushing of Deadpool...everything they do now has him involved. Kinda tells you that they won't give up on the Deadpool movie either, which is nice to know. Gambit on the other hand looked a bit pants in that trailer.

Alliance is way better than Legends. For starters, the enemies fall down faster, and you can use your powers more. And usually, you're not doing something ridiculous like Pyro taking on the entire X-men team alone. (That was the breaking point for me in the first Legends. I couldn't beat him, and quit) Also, in the first Alliance, the enemies are much more varied, because they make a point of going everywhere. But it demands to be played on a very large high def TV. You simply can't see any details like in the screenshots AND be able to fight effectively at the same time. Unless you're on a computer, since you're closer, but that's always true.

Sorry, I can't hear you, I just used Gambit's Royal Flush on the Mango Sentinel in Marvel vs. Capcom 2. IS MAHVEL BABEE!!! Never got into the whole "Alliance" series that started with X-Men Legends. I prefer my Marvel games to be over-the-top fighters, especially if they fight against Capcom characters.
