Saw this piracy warning during my marathon of The IT Crowd season 2 last night, and knew instantly I had to share it this morning. Not only to convince any remaining doubters of the goodness of The IT Crowd, but also because I'd hate to think about you knuckleknobs crapping in policemen's hats -- it's just wrong, people.

Ahhhh, the irony of posting a youtube video as a anti piracy message.
Great series though.

Ahhhhh, IT Crowd. I love it so much. The funny part is that in my short time working in IT, I've seen much of what happens on that show. Of course, when it happens in real life it's not funny like in IT Crowd...it's more funny in that awkward The Office kind of way. Which isn't really funny at all. Just sad.

Piracy is a real concern in Brazil. To this day I don't know what a playstation one original disc looks like. Not to mention the first playstation was the most popular console around here ever, altough it was never officially released.

@Jamie Herbert- Their roast of Facebook is great, as is the whole "Internet" fiasco.
Season 3 was great. People, watch the IT Crowd. I tried to get Adult Swim to pick it up, but apparently it's quite up to their Xavier standards (meaning you don't have to be high to think it's funny).

My wife and I watched all 3 series in one weekend. it is so funny and actually pretty true on some things. I work in desktop support 2nd line and don't know how many times I have told people to restart their computer. I hope it gets going on a 4th series soon. it's one of my favorite BritComs.

@Rikki: The clip is from the official IT Crowd channel on YouTube. Typically British productions aren't as stuck up as the American ones when it comes to sharing the footage. They want the exposure.

@Hawkeye: The writer created Black Books but was not involved with Darkplace, though obviously there's a great deal of actor overlap-- Matt Berry (Darkplace's Sanchez) took over for John Morris (Blue Jam/ Brass Eye) in Series 2 and 3 and Richard Ayoade (Darkplace's Dean Learner) has been on the show from the beginning.
One of the things I love about British Comedy is that it's so incestuous. In the 80's you'd always see the Comic Strip folks (Rik Mayall, Ade Edmonson, etc) show up in Black Adder, Red Dwarf and vice versa.
These days there's the Spaced/Black Books clique and the Mighty Boosh/Darkplace clique that seems to cover all of the Britcoms that I'm interested in.

Neil Hannon does the music for the show (as he did for 'Father Ted') - good enough for me. You should go buy his new cricket-themed album now.
