A) That seems like massive character derailment for Bane to make him just into a brainless brute.

B) I clearly saw the psycho Zsasz in there a few times (the inmate with the knife and tally mark scars all over his body.

C) I still don't like the new designs for Harley Quinn (looks too Tim Burton/Todd McFarlane for my taste) and Poison Ivy.

D) Despite my complaints in points A and C this game still looks insanely badass and I desperately want it.

E) I'd kill for a Batman game with a jokey unlockable alternate "Adam West" mode where all the characters look and sound like they came from that series (complete with the BIFF! POW! etc. effects). I know that'd take a ton of programming to add in, though, but still...

In point 'A' it should read 'into just a' not 'just into a'.

And in Adam West mode, when there are too many villains on screen you click the analog sticks and Batman does the Batusi and causes all the villains to dance with him and die.

Wikipedia has a big list of the Bat-villains that have been mentioned or are expected to be in the game, along with marks to indicate who has been formally introduced.

As close to the end as they are, I'm a bit worried that over half of them won't make it in, and even then it's rumored they could just be cameos. I would LOVE for this to be the ultimate Batman game where you take on a large majority of his foes (for arguments sake, the game based on the animated series for the SNES has held that title in my mind until now), but at this point, getting a good game is more important than complete fan service.

This game was my first thought for last week's contest, I just never got around to entering it.
But how awesome would the Arkham Asylum movie be? Just like the book and the game, one night, every Batman villain, and they're all after him.

um, will it have all the disturbed Freudian undertones of the graphic novel? I kinda hope so.

Oh, one thing I noticed: Bane said I will broke you, well he already did, like ages ago in the comic, right after he set loose everyone from Arkham. I'm a fan of Bats (ok, more like a fan of The Joker), but he is not able to face everyone, or beat everyone in one night! So I hope he will end up a bit unstable in mind, near the end of the game, or at least they should make us feel the pressure he is under! But its a game where Bats beat the living sh*t out of everyone, and that is cool, I will buy it, without hesitating, but there is almost no chance for any kind of drama, or dephs of Batman's character. At least that is what I think.

Despite my Marvel madness, which causes me to hate on anything DC related, I'm totally going to get this game.

Note: Just to balance things out, I'm buying two copies of Ultimate Alliance.
