So if someone were to interject into a conversation you were having with your friend and start cursing and hurling racial epithets at you, you would say "Thank you! I appreciate your contribution to our discussion. Your comments have elevated the level of discourse significantly." ?

I find that the people who complain about this type of "censorship" are also often deluded enough to think that all opinions are of equal merit. Allowing any and all comments does not necessarily lead to a productive conversation, and in fact most often achieves the opposite.

You can't let the signal-to-noise ratio swing too far toward noise, or you lose the signal.

Marxism is an economic system. I think you might be referring to "totalitarianism", which can exist in the absence of Marxism. But of course I wouldn't expect intelligence from someone who uses the word "sheeple" and thinks he's unique because of it.

I would happily punch him in the face and kick the crap out of him. But if he interjected in a debatable nonthreatening way I actually enjoy it. I like to debate and open the spectrum of views. What I cannot stand is limiting that even if I disagree. BTW - Race has nothing to do with this topic, it's sexual preference and playing up on that not race. I may be biased against homosexuality, but John Barrowman is a great example and from what I've seen a great guy. He is what he is, and he neither shoves it in my face nor hides it. He's here, he's queer, now can we get on with the show?

Capt. Jack is one of the best fictional characters, *ever*. John Barrowman is primarily responsible for that. I can't think of anyone else who could have played the part so that it became more than a guest shot. I may not approve of the slut he (Capt. Jack) is (oh, come on, you know he's a slut, he does it with men, women and little green things from Alpha Centauri), but I'd damn sure want him at my back.

John Barrowman is the most adorable little queeny thing ever!!! I love that little spin-pratfall he does.

When exactly was this?? I was at both the Doctor Who and Torchwood panels on Sunday at the con and this did not happen then!! I feel so cheated!!

The reason you (The Nerdy Bird) did not see this during the Sunday panels is because it actually happened during the Saturday night panel for the screenings of Torchwood: Children of Earth (ep 5) and Doctor Who: Planet of the Dead.
