I've still got a bad aftertaste form Highlander: The Source.

In what possible way could they improve on the original? I re-watched Highlander a couple of weeks ago and realized that it was spot-on perfect. From the ridiculous French Scottish accent that Lambert was throwing down to the ridiculous Scottish Spanish accent that Connery spouted to the joyful barbarism of Clancy Brown's Kurgan to the overworked weary cops looking for a killer, everything works together to make the ideal B movie. I defy anyone to tell me in what way the film could be better.

To remake Highlander would be a travesty of geek justice.

I wish there could be only none.

i just do not understand all of these remakes.

I really liked the Highlander series, but all the movies after the first one sucked. I don't have high hopes.

If they had just made a Methos and Joe spin-off of the series instead of Highlander: The Raven, I could have died happy.

I don't mind a new Highlander movie since the series/ franchise could use some new blood. I just have very low expectations.

What really bugs me is I know they'll have a new, "hip" soundtrack. Oh god, imagine a "Princes of the Universe" rap. By Hanna Montanna.

Actually the Jonas Brothers singing Who wants to ;ive forever is far more disturbing.

I feel the same way about a Highlander remake as I do about the Transformers movies: I'll give them a chance so long as Michael Bay or Megan Fox are not involved.

This life rule will unfortunately keep me from watching the Jonah Hex movie. I'll live...

WHY remake a classic? I know it wasn't perfect but FFS, it's HIGHLANDER.

I have said for years that Highlander is the perfect example of how NOT to handle a franchise. Look, every film after the first one was basically a reboot: HL2: The Quickening totally changes the original film's formula and mythology; HL3: The Next Dimension tries to be a remake of the original in many ways, yet fails; Endgame jumps back to the tv series; Don't get me started about the Source, which is truly a film that doesn't even know what genre it fits.

Then you have the superior TV series, the inferior Raven series . . . the Animated series that is its own universe, the anime that is its own universe . . . there is even a Highlander: the Opera !!!

The bottom line is there is no consistency to any of this.
