I see what the problem is... this is not superhero costumes, it's clearly bra panties and some extra fabric thrown in. It's mearly rebranded underwear.
A superehroine needs an iconic wardrobe and those underoos are not iconic in any way.
if you were to go to www.superheroinecentral.com for pure research purposes you would see that the superhero suit actually covers a lot of skin that eventually gets unwrapped like a present... unlike failwear that is alredy unwrapped for the most part.

I don't get it. The photos are bad, as they are photochopped to hell and look like a really badly done comic cover (I suppose that's appropriate) but the lingerie itself doesn't seem bad at all. Normally, I'd be just fine browsing through a few attractive ladies in scant things but they really did do a horrible job with the 'theme'. If I'd just been shown it, I would have thought, "Oh, hey, that's kind of cool." But looking at that with knowledge of what they were trying to do? It just made it a little painful to look at.

Not to sound like a small child but the Agent Provocateur started it by trying to pimp their rags as superhero themed rags. I don't think any of us don't appreciate the boobs but what I don't appreciate is sloppy advertising. If I want my non existant girlfriend to dress like a superhero then she better have a cape and thigh high boots... oh yeaaaaahhhhh.

I don't see how difficult it is to go as wrong as they have with a super heroine theme. Just take Powergirl and show side boob. Or take Rogue's uniform and make it entirely vinyl and completely skin tight. Or Supergirl's tight tee and jean shorts and just make the shirt torn and slightly revealing while also having the jean shorts be open-assed. Anything would have been better than what they did with their "comic" inspired excuses.
