He's also not afraid to die, or so my Mortal Kombat cassette tape told me in 1994. Good thing, since bitching about the Mortal Kombat fight schedule seems like a quick way to get your spine ripped out.

not only did the fighters forget how to do a tournment but johny did not get a fair break and wound up in the second round as a human kleenex to the one who made the whole mess in the begining.

See, I always assumed that there were many other minor fighters in the tournament that the headliners fought (and easily defeated) before reaching the character you were playing as. Hell, in the Mortal Kombat movie (still the best video game movie IMO), Liu Kang's first opponent was a black guy we never saw before. Who's to say that wasn't going on the whole time. Like the old WWF/WCW matches where big names wrestlers "wrestled" the jobbers; did you really expect THE UNDERTAKER to lose to 'robert johnson'?

I had that tape! Love love LOVED it! The Sonja Blade song is rockin, too. Of course, I got it thinking it was the album to the movie, which I also loved. Ah to be 10 again and able to love absolutely horrible things without worrying about what they say about my horrible horrible taste.
