Scott Pilgrim's one of my all-time favorite comic series, while Edgar Wright happens to be one of my favorite directors. My undying love for the pair shouldn't/couldn't be broken.

Scott Pilgrim vs. the Infuriatingly Stupid Haircuts.

I am super excited about this movie. Also excited about v. 6 coming out next year. So much Scott Pilgrim goodness.

I tried to love the comic, I tried so hard, but I just couldn't get into it. Found it pretty overrated, sadly.

I think partly because the preceding hype I was exposed to before finally picking it up was incongruent with what I got, but also because frankly I expect more from my stories than just a bunch of 90's pop culture references.

I grew up in the 90's too, yes, I remember these references... why am I reading this?

I've only just finished the first volume, and while I don't LOVE it, I do like it and plan on picking the next one up this weekend.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but is this not a shot from the Sex Bob-Ombs first show at the end of volume one?

I got the chance to meed Edgar Wright a few years ago, shortly after it was announced he was making this. I pretty much said to him "Edgar, I love your movies. I also love Scott Pilgrim, so I'm gonna ask this of you the same as I would anyone attached to this project: Please, Please don't screw this up." He promised to do his best not to, and I'm gonna hold him to that. I am really excited for this though, and I'm glad to see I'm not the only one.

Fun Fact: My sister's boyfriend's older sister worked on the film. At first she was just doing music stuff like clearing the rights and such. On a day that she was on set they found out she was a pretty excellent drummer. So anytime you see a close up of the drummers hand's thats her doing it with her arms to made to look all like the other girls. She even got her own trailer just for being a hand double!

I will see this movie solely based on the Smashing Pumpkins' Zero t-shirt. Oh yeah, and that kid from Arrested Development is in it...

A lot of the comic reminded me of Wright/Pegg/Stevenson's Spaced (one of my all-time favourite programmes), so you can imagine how excited I was when I heard who was directing it.

One nerdy gripe I have is that this is another beloved cult series that could be destroyed by Hollywood. I pray to Jebus it won't be, but....
Also, Ramona's hair is quite obviously a wig, which upsets me.

Just read the first volume.
1. I'm already depressed that this wondrous series will be only 6 volumes long.
2. Can't wait to get the next volumes, Im so glad they are longer then the first.
3. The cast looks pretty good.
