Man, every time I see a new Solomon Kane clip (klip?) I get more excited. This one is actually a mini-featurette on some of the fight scenes in the film, with some interviews and a little behind-the-scenes stuff, although it reveals some cool shit. Frankly, I don't what is more awesome:
• How closely James Purefoy and crew are adhering to Robert Howard's books
• That James Purefoy has done 95% of his own stunts
• That Solomon Kane kills most people without breaking his stride
• That James Purefoy can actually fight "in character" (!)
• That Kane/Purefoy has a duel with a dude who is on fire the entire fucking time
Okay, it's obviously the fire thing. But the other stuff is awesome too.

The Solomon Kane stories are definitely on par with REH's Conan stuff. If you en joy Conan, Kane should be right up your alley, too.

do yourself the favor and read the Kane stories. They're further proof that Howard was one hell of a writer, especially when it came to elevating what could otherwise have been just mere pulp hack-'em-ups to actual literature.

Just ordered the Solomon Kane stories from Amazon. This movie looks like it's going to be awesomely fun. I really hope it doesn't disappoint!
