For those of you who spent Valentine's Day alone with your regrets -- and ample amounts of Girl Scout cookies -- fear not. There is someone for everyone, regardless of how much time you spend playing Super Mario Brothers, listening to the Parappa the Rapper soundtrack or alphabetizing your DVD collection. Take for example the case of two lovebirds who enjoy Alien so much that they hired Seattle's Jet City Cakes to create them a wedding cake inspired by the flick. (Nothing says love more than a desert with two penis-looking monsters sticking out of it). If a pair of H.R. Giger freaks can find happiness, there's hope for the rest of us. Until then, why not enjoy another box of Thin Mints while you dust off your Star Wars toy shelf? (Via Great White Snark)

That's one badass cake! Although personally I would want and life-size Officer Kane cake with a chest burster frozen in the act of opening his white chocolate rip cage to reveal the scrumptious cherry jelly filing inside.

Right. You eat that cake, and then five minutes later, it's bursting right back out of you.

Very cool design!
My only problem with it is that I'm not one to eat something green like that. I'm not likely to eat green ketchup, much less a green-iced cake...

I tend to dislike almost everything, but even I have to say that is, without a doubt, one of the most awesome things I've ever seen. I will have to keep it in the back of my mind for a future anniversary present (I can bake that. Sure.)

I can't say anything bad about this cake considering I want my wedding cake to be zombie-themed.

would have been better if the bride and groom where represented by facehugger victims embedded in the side of it with gaping holes in their chests and entrails splattered down the layers of the cake.
the only other way this cake could be more perfect would be if it was filled with red cream.

In the last seven days, I have alphabetized my Kurosawa dvd collection, and listened to parappa the rappa car theme. You have now made me feel sad about that.

Your empty words about there being someone out there for everyone made me feel a little better for about thirty seconds. Thank you.
