Speaking of my obvious withdrawal for some kind of videogaming fun, expect my Final Fantasy XIII review on Monday.

I'd say it's about equal with the other LEGO games in terms of humor. I think it's the principle that taking Star Wars and Batman into a comedic area that just makes them seem funnier.

I really did enjoy LEGO Batman and LEGO Starwars, though not as much since I'm a bigger Batman fan but I don't think I'll be picking this up. Is probably worth a rent or a borrow off the LEGO nut I know but not full price thanks.
You know what I'm surprised has not gotten made yet? A Harry Potter MMO. It would sell like freaking hotcakes and really they don't have to add that much to the current games. HP and MP bars and maybe some more missions. I don't know what's stopping them. And I'm sure J.K would love more money.

LEGO Stars Wars is the ultimate game for nerd girls who cannot play FPS to save their lives. I'm sure other people enjoy the LEGO games as well, but as someone who got owned by an 8 year old at Call of Duty 2, LEGO Star Wars is kind of the only console game I can play without feeling totally inept. Will I be playing LEGO Harry Potter? Um, that's a yes. That's a big ol' yes.

I'm cautiously optimistic about this game. If they go the route of Lego Star Wars, Lego Batman, and the first Lego Indy, then it'll be equally great.
If they incorporate the changes made for Lego Indy 2, then not so much.

Before anyone bashes the intro too much, keep in mind how superior it is to the Chris Columbus version.

I don't know if it is "superior" to the Chris Columbus version, since I happen to like his cover of the first book.
That being said, I loved this intro as it did a very good job of conveying the better part of the action (minus the snake) from the first 4 chapters in about 2 minutes. It also brought across the characters very well without any talking whatsoever. Very impressive.

What's with the figures of Harry's uncle and cousin? Can't they make fat minifigs?
*realises there hasn't ever been a fat minifig*

The first shots of Dumbledore's hair looked blond to me, not silver, and the lights on Privet drive should be out, from the put-outer. Other than that, entertaining for the most part. These don't look half bad at all really. I hope they keep the split screen and builder tools from Indy 2, but go back to the hub type from Lego Star Wars.
Chris Columbus is a hack. He took what are the two most child friendly books of the series and made them for toddlers. To be analogous to the current article, Chris Columbus is Duplo.
