• I know for a fact that Channing Frye (plays for the suns, awesome 3 point shooter) is a huge nerd, he may have had some influence in this.

• I officially declare the Phoenix Suns the nerdiest team in sports. This was actually the 2nd Star Wars themed night the Suns have had. • It would be cooler if using the soap eventually released a tiny Han Solo figure.

• The original mascot, way the hell back in the day, was a sunflower. However a sunflower is not a good mascot at all for any damn thing ever so they decided to try and find a new option. Apparently one of the owners at the time then got one of those costume telegrams which was delivered by a man in a gorilla suit so the Phoenix Suns Gorilla was born. Not like it makes any sense, but there you go. He's a huge hit with kids, including with me when I was a small fry. The reason why the Diamondbacks has a bobcat for a mascot instead of a freaking awesome rattlesnake is because Bank One, the first owners of the ballpark, thought a snake would be too scary/hard to make teh cute, so they made Bob the Bobcat, named after themselves/their ballpark. It is now Chase Field so the bobcat makes even less sense these days.

• I dunno. I think the whole 'slave Leia is starting to lose appeal' thing is starting to lose appeal.

• I was just thinking the Slave Leia costumes are actually LESS sluttier than regular cheerleader costumes...

• THe slave Leia thing is sadly starting to lose appeal now. Look, either do the costume right, or not at all. The cheerleader version ain't making the grade.

• I bought four bars, as awards for next years' Halloween party which will be Star Wars themed (last year was Farscape, this year is un-themed - we alternate years to do themes) I'm going as Jabba the Hutt.

• I actually bought a bar of that Han Solo soap....and then immediately regretted it. It does come in authentic Aurebesh packaging,which is what got me,but...I have no use for that. I mean,I use soap,I'm just not comfortable with the thought of rubbing Han Solo all over my wet naked body. I'll probably ebay it when it arrives. Anyway...that redheaded cheerleader in the slave leia costume=hotter than hell!!!!

• A basketball team had a Star Wars night? Like, the popular kids in the basketball team? And cheerleaders dressed as Leia? LIKE, HOT, POPULAR HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS DRESSED AS STAR WARS CHARACTERS? I have to lie down. I feel like I'm in one of those Russian Reversal jokes....
