I... I don't know what to feel right now. I'm bitterly furious that I didn't get to go to the event, nor was I ever close, but at the same time it's very gratifying to know that I live in a reality where a Slave Leia car wash event can occur. I think, at the very least, I'll sleep a little easier tonight. Thanks to all jillion of you who sent this in.
More links from around the web!

sarah jean underwood is a hot Padme!
-
I'm gonna have to go with "yes" on that one. I'll still be in mah bunk.
-
That's a speeder bike outfit--note the low collar on the breastplate.
-
....or Nathan Fillion dressed like Milla Jovavich from 5th Element...
-
Shouldn't you be on chat roulette? I've been dieing for new vids.
-
Wouldn't the brass bikini scratch the paint job (not a double entendre)?
-
I would have my car washed like a dozen times that day.
-
BLASPHEMY!
-
AOTS is a fun show. This is a great idea. Slave Leias are hot (though possibly outdone in this case by Sara Jean Underwood as Padme ending up wet with her outfit getting more see through) Anyone who thinks differently is a total tool.
-
I agree! I'd take the blond over any of those Leia's in a heartbeat. And G4 sucks. Oliva Munn is a waste-void.
-
Okay, that made me feel a little gross inside.
-
Agree 100%.
-
Yeah Slave Leia has lost all appeal for me. I actually find the Padme girl sexier.
-
Never thought I'd agree with you ZC, but hell yes
-
It's not about it being "mainstream" -- it's about it being OVERUSED and losing all impact because you can't throw a rock in a geek-oriented event or web page without hitting someone in a slave Leia costume. - It's like it's 1995 again and everyone's dressed like Eric Draven from The Crow.
-
This is why AOTS is great, they do awesome stuff like this all the time, easily the best show out there geared towards geek culture. The chick in the Padme costume, Sara Jean Underwood, PLAYBOY PLAYMATE OF THE YEAR 2007... Someone needs to stop hating on AOTS and Olivia Munn so much.
-
I'm sure I'm in the minority of nerds and straight guys in general, but I never cared for Slave Leia and have grown tried of it now. Not because it has become popular as some have said, but because it has reduced a complex character to a simple image.
-
I looked at the picture and my thoughts were as follows 1: That stormtrooper on the right has been issued with the wrong helmet 2: Oh wait, bikini car wash girls
-
That is correct. That is the costume Amidala wore after the Nexu rips her top,in the Arena on Geonosis. :-B
-
Completely agreed. She is a wolf in geek's clothing.
-
Thank you Rob. I thought I was the only one who couldn't stand AoTS. The host is a complete douche and that only thing worth watching on that show is Olivia Munn and even then its still kind of not worth watching. I mean, I used to watch this show on a regular basis and then one day I just said to myself "why am I watching this, when I could easily find out all of their 'news' online and not have to wait for this douche to tell me". That was the day I stopped watching and I haven't looked back. I can't stand Adam (is that his name?) or that Chris Gore guy and the douchebag way he reviews movies as if he's the expert on all geek films or obnoxious Blair Butler who to be honest kind of looks and sounds like a guy to me. Don't get me started on total tool Chris Hardwick who not only hosts a show on a "network for geeks" but uses every moment to insult those same geeks he is supposed to cater to. God I hate Hardwick and his shitty rip-off of the soup.
-
I think that is Padme' from the battle of Geonosis.
-
Did the proceeds go to cure Olivia Munn's severe case of mental retardation?
-
Agreed
-
Bravo, sir! Like the outfit or don't like it, but don't get your knickers in a twist just because something you thought was Exclusive Geek Property has bled over into the "mainstream". It happens, suck it up.
-
A little harsh, yo.
-
Buck Rogers, huh? Two Words: Erin Grey, Spandex. That is all.
-
What? I'm the only one who thinks Tusken Raiders are smokin' hot?
-
normally I save the pimping for weekends but I have more pics over at my blog http://devildinosaur.blogspot.com/2010/04/star-wars-car-wash-was-not-bad.html
-
Mila Jolovolovich's costume in 5th Element could've been worn by a 12-year-old boy to much the same effect. Although, to be far, 12-year-old boys aren't quite as ribby.
-
ohhh boooo to you hipster nerds. So Slave Leia isn't cool anymore because it's so popular? F that. It's been hot for what 30 years and counting.
-
just when it looked like the gold bikini slave Leia outfit had finaly retired some one finds a new use for it a car wash for charity though those outfits proably ment the ladies had to take extra time to wash the cars and no doubt had to take breaks to dry off.since the chain bikini really does not look the perfect car washing outfit
-
i'm not a slave to the fashion either, but i won't argue against it. beautiful women in bikinis can wash my car anyday. pfft, nerds.
-
Some of those Slave Leia's need to eat some damn Jabba the Pizza Hut…I see visible bones I shouldn't be seeing…
-
Agreed. On both your points.
-
Are guys really that ga-ga for Slave Leia? If I were a dude, Milla Jovovich's wardrobe in The Fifth Element would be what turned my crank. And could we get guys dressed like Nathan Fillion in Firefly to wash my car?
-
Hey, just remember this was for a good cause. If you've got some spare $ you could do worse than to send it here. http://www.wish.org/help/donate
-
Aside from those cheerleaders from a while back, me too. But that's mainly because popular high schoolers in geeky outfits means that the world is becoming a better place.
-
Horrible Dark Geek confession: Slave Leia has never 'done it' for me.
-
Hell. I'll make a donation to the Make-A-Wish foundation if I don't see another slave Leia costume for another year.
-
Can we PLEASE retire the slave Leia costume? Pretty please? It's about the most over-exploited thing from Star Wars, ever. 75% of the people who try to wear it aren't half as attractive as Carrie Fisher, and it's crossed over from "geek chic" to just plain overplayed and mainstream. - It's no longer fun, titillating, or interesting. Stop it. Find another costume to wear out, please. - I suggest the Wilma costume from the old Buck Rogers show. That was pretty sexy.
-
Im guessing Chris Gores- site hits will increase exponetially after this posting. And trust me if the Slave Leia acted more like this in the movie- that cut 2 seconds of Oola might have been the norm.
-
Watch the videos-- you may disagree.
-
Padme in the middle wins. It is a contest right? What's going on here. My brain is over-run. But whatever is happening, Padme wins.
-
Holy shit! I know where that car wash was. My car is dirty. I could have... I could have... *sigh* I hate the internet...
-
THat was only 10 bucks-- you get less that that at other "establishments" for 25.00.
-
Mein Gott iM Himmel.
-
That's funny. I thought I recognized her. Has she gotten a boob job?
-
*sigh* At least it was for a good cause...
-
MEIN GOTT IN HIMMEL!!!
-
Yeah.... the Slave Leia outfit is actually not that great for something like this.
-
In a world of slave bikinis, I would rather have the Amidala chick wash my car. She would easily win the wet t-shirt contest.
-
Girl in white shirt=Playboy Playmate Sara Jean Underwood
-
Car wash, involving water? I'd rather have the girl in the tight, white shirt washing my car.
-
the fem stormtrooper is the most attractive one there Just putting it out there
-
Video of the event. Wowzers. http://www.youtube.com/user/ThatChrisGore#p/u/2/6XpDhGuAmPI
-
"Apparently it was sponsored by G4's Attack of the Show, making it that show's finest moment by a long shot." Attack of the Show is awesome on pretty much a daily basis.
-
i think you might be selling AoTS a little short. especially for nerds, its by far the best "news" show there is (calling it real news might be a stretch). While Slave Leia Car Wash is a very grand idea, there are many other fine fine moments that come from that show. Mostly things involving nerd-goddess Olivia Munn, a nerd costume, and some sort of food product.
-
Call me crazy, but isn't that Gwyneth Paltrow in the middle? And why were Tusken Raiders there? Imagine paying for a Slave Leia car wash and instead getting 'UOO UOO UOO UOO' (Yes, that was meant to be the Sand People noise)
