I have no idea why this MC Frontalot video -- a rap about the classic text game Zork -- is nearly a year old and only has 5000 views on YouTube, but that shit needs to be corrected immediately. Or we're all likely to be eaten by... you know. Thanks to WAH for the tip.

Zork FTW... I think about 20 of those views are mine, so I'm glad to see this video getting more exposure.
Zork was my first real video game experience outside of an arcade, so I'll always have a soft spot for it (although revisiting it, I have no idea how I used to figure out some of the more obscure puzzles).

Is there any place to play Zork nowadays? All my Google searches have been fruitless.

I hadn't played this game in ages. It's a fun trip back in time.

He's still making music? Is it any good this time? Re: best friend bought the album, said it sucked, even after loving the free stuff.
I'll have to give it a listen after I get home. Darn corporate firewalls and filtering software!

My bro bought 3 of his albums for me for my birthday including his latest. I love them all.
If you want a preview most of the tracks have been uploaded to YouTube.

As is the case with most nerd rap these days, I can't tolerate any of this. This is probably the most awkward meter I've heard in years.

Most importantly, everyone should buy the tie in film by Jason Scott, GET LAMP: THE TEXT ADVENTURE DOCUMENTARY. Scott is the creator of the BBS Documentary and Textfiles.com. I've preordered mine already. You should too! ***end of unsolicited commercial endorsement***

How is it that good rap is only produced by black people growing up in the ghetto and white nerds that live in their moms basements? There is absolutely nothing these two groups have in common.

I think they do share a few things. A feeling of being segregated from mainstream culture, and a strong sense of attachment to a particular subculture.

It's probably because the song isn't very listenable. At least, that's how I found it. I did like the shoutout to the Hitchhiker's Guide game, but that was about it, because I don't like his style. My favorite nerd rapper is probably always going to be MC Lars, but that's just, like, my opinion, man.
