Update: Okay, the trailer's after the jump, because while it is cool, it does make a very annoying sound if you're trying to look at other things on the page. Advantage: Dawn Treader.

And Metric's doing Black Sheep for Envy!
-
Wright actually lived with Tarantino while the latter was writing Inglorious Basterds, and Raimi was such a fun he originally wanted Wright to direct Drag Me To Hell. Guy's got connections.
-
Wow "the third Narnia flick no one gives a shit about" what a LOAD I'm more excited about Voyage of the Dawn treader than ANY other movie this year, if you had actually read the book you would know why, the only movie I could be more excited about is the Silver Chair when it comes out. And honestly "Insanely Boring" trailer? I guess epic and action packed masterpiece equates to "Insanely Boring" nowadays? The Scott Pilgrim thing is just a sad joke right? is anyone really THAT foolish? honestly articles like this make me lose faith in humanity more and more everyday. **** Scott Pilgrim, Voyage of the Dawn Treader is going to be awesome.
-
rob, you'd be a better nerd blogger if you'd fix the typos...but i guess since it's about scott pilgrim, you were only typing with one hand.
-
But, yeah, Beck wrote all of the songs for Sex Bob-omb and Broken Social Scene did the songs for Crash and the Boys.

Order from Amazon.ca =P

Oh and that video reminded me of something. Next time I'm in a record store I think I have to pick up the Scott Pilgrim soundtrack. I didn't realize until Wright went into it when someone asked him, but Beck and a number of known bands are on it. I was wondering who did Envy's band and it was one I had already had some interest in, Metric. I almost picked up their album recently anyway. Yes, I said I want to go to a record store. Actual physical stores still exist and not just in the strange wild land of Toronto Canada. Though I guess I could order it off Amazon and hope the delivery girl is cute. Though I've yet to ever see anyone but generic UPS guys deliver stuff.
-
Next time try to resist harder. Maybe play random youtube video roulette and post that instead.
-
I saw Scott holding a plate of bacon in the extras! Woo hoo!
-
Though I should add it's NOT Pegg and Frost in case anyone thinks that. They're not in this. In the video above Wright said he tried not to have any Brits in the Canadian setting. Still pretty amazing scene.
-
Shhhh... Actually Bill Hader just does some voice overs. I'm still not sure how many announcer voices or just a few of them and they actually took other announcer voices right from actual games. The ones you hear in the trailer are just too spot on. That or he just does some other narration. So, heads up, I don't think you actually see Hader.
-
Well, I think Tarentino is just a fan. I know Rami is friends with Wright. Remember, everyone shows up at these premieres, not just the stars. It's Hollywood rubbing elbows with each other. As for Jane... I plead the 5th...
-
Are the vegan police by any chance being played by Bill Hader and Thomas Jane?
-
Well, the movie was pretty awesome. I saw two early screenings, including one last night with Edgar Wright in attendance. He was along with "the lovely miss Anna Kendrick", "the lovely miss Jason Schwartzman", and "the lovely miss Michael Cera" (as Wright introduced them). I was worried about Cera in the lead. His voice is still a bit too uncertain at times, but he did grow a pair to play Scott pretty properly. Plus everything else met or exceeded expectations. As for chopping it down for one film? It's maybe the best film I've seen fit in so much. They didn't just have easter eggs like some comic and other film adaptations. They really made it feel like the same world, even if it was condensed. Yeah, you don't get to see as much Envy or Julie, but they felt right in their scenes. And yeah, all the side characters are amazing. It's pretty uncanny how spot on they all are. Oh and Kieran Culkin as Wallace Wells might just damn well steal the show as the best side character. Though really, everyone was fantastic in their parts. Knives, Kim, Stephen, and of course the lovely Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Ramona Flowers, the girl all this ruckus is for.
-
Not only will there be Vegan Police.... but you will sh-- yourself when you see who one of them is. Todd's may be one of the best ex fights. Plus that a former Superman is Todd makes the scene all the more surreal. Hell, I think Routh got to play a better more badass Superman here, albeit an evil douchey one, then in Superman Returns.

the harder they hype, the harder they fall. remember, the last air bender trailers looked awesome too.
-
Seconded. The Narnia series is for those who love the books, ultimately, and there are enough of those people to make the series worth it, apparently. As a nerd and dad, I will definitely be seeing both Scott Pilgrim AND Dawn Treader.
-
Sorry, my internet messed up. I didn't mean to post the same comment twice. Now I just feel stupid.
-
I watched the trailer and thought it did everything it was suppose to. It informed the viewer the movie was coming out, it looked beautiful, and there were no crazy re-casts of the actors. It should make anyone who appreciates the stories excited for the movie. I realize it's not another shitty reboot origin story of the same comic book character we've seen a thousand times, but hey, maybe next time?
-
I love the Narnia series, I thought the trailer did everything it was suppose to do. 1.) Informs you the movie is coming out. 2.) Gives you a little hint about how stunning the movie is visually. 3.) Makes you excited for the movie. I realize it doesn't spoil the whole movie like every other trailer does nowadays, and it doesn't involve action figures or teenage comic book heroes in their 300th shitty reboot, but it's one of the greatest books written in one of the greatest series ever written.

HOORAY FOR VEGAN POLICE!!! Now if there is bacon in the movie it will be perfect.
-
Seems I replied to the wrong person, oops.

Looks like there will be Vegan Police: http://www.flickr.com/photos/edgarwright/3676583543/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/edgarwright/3680812244/in/photostream/

Did anyone else look at the pics from the premier? Thomas Jane and Quentin Tarantino were there, WTF???
-
Only if the Narnia movie weren't really boring, as well as having dicks to suck. *shows asshole Troll the door*
-
If only the new Narnia trailer had more Joss Whedon dicks to suck. Maybe then Rob would be interested...
-
I am still excited about the Scott Pilgrim movie but there are still a few things I wonder about. I know some things had to be changed/removed to fit into a movie and I am fine with that but there are still two questions I have about things that I hope will be in the movie. First, will Wallace Wells make bacon? Second, will there be Vegan Police? On another note for some reason I was not able to post a comment about how I thought Summer Glau's voice acting sounded pretty good so I will put it here. And on the subject of voice acting and animation, the animation for that Scott Pilgrim short looked great but the voice acting/voice synch looked and sounded terrible to me.
-
Played this last night. Pretty fun with the bonus clips and facts it gives you. Even if the movie isn't amazing, I'm going to turn into one of those tools screaming, "Hey! That's just like the part in the comic! Coo1! That guy wears that same shirt!" Lots of detail and love went into this.
-
Annnnddd there went the productivity levels of several people at work/school for about the next 20 minutes. It's a fun concept, but a bit of a senses overload.

WARNING The clip you unlock with the final achievement is a major spoiler and I advise everyone to avoid watching it. (Even though they've shown parts of the ending in every trailer they've released)
