TR Contest Special: The Mis-Adventures of Sherlock Holmes

You think last week’s contest was cool? Get a load of this: BBC America has donated not one, not two, but four copies of their new and totally awesome Sherlock TV show DVD sets (seriously, read my review here if you doubt me) for the winners of this week’s contest. Oh, and a bonus, every winner will also get a free copy of Doctor Who season 5 set (which was also awesome, in my opinion).

?
Yes, that’s right — this contest will have four winners, and they’ll each get a copy of Sherlock and Doctor Who season 5, thanks to BBC America. I don’t know why they’re so generous, except they obviously don’t know my readers very well.

So the contest is this: Think of the worst/lamest/stupidest/most inappropriate Sherlock Holmes mystery titles, like The Hound of the Baskin-Robbins, The Five Plaid Pips, The Case of Sherlock’s Bowel Obstruction, The Case of Who Pooped the Bed, etc. I figured a Sherlock Holmes parody contest would be more accessible than a Who one. Now, there are some special rules…

? I have two sets on DVD, and two on Blu-ray. IF YOU OWN A BLU-RAY PLAYER OR WANT THE BLU-RAY EDITIONS, YOU MUST TELL ME IN YOUR ENTRY.
? I’m going to award the two DVD sets to the best entries that don’t mention Blu-rays, and two to the best entries of people who have Blu-ray players.
? I’m guessing that there will be less people competing for the Blu-rays, so the odds of winning the Blu-ray sets should be better than the DVD sets. MEANING IF YOU OWN A BLU-RAY PLAYER, IT’S IN YOUR BEST INTEREST TO MENTION IT. SERIOUSLY.
? This isn’t a rule, but it is a warning — these DVD and BRs are Region 1, so non-North Americans will need a region-free DVD player to watch them. Feel free to enter, though.

Those are the special rules; now for the regular rules. THREE ENTRIES PER PERSON. As per usual, bonus points will be given for more subtly disturbing entries than overtly crass ones (although those are perfectly acceptable, too). Again, IF YOU WANT THE BLU-RAY SETS TELL ME IN YOUR ENTRIES, DAMMIT. And last but not least, the contest ends at 12:01 am EST on Monday, December the 13th. Oh, and again, thanks to BBC America for donating these prizes to you monkeys. Have a great weekend, folks — the game is officially afoot.
