Before you mutter "finally," please note that the Lord of the Rings Extended Edition Blu-ray Megaset does not have a release date quite yet. However, it has a pre-order page on Amazon (here) and a full list of all the many, many, many extras (after the jump, because seriously, there's a shit-ton of extras). Also, there's an exclusive trailer for the set on Amazon, which they've made unembeddable because they're hurting for pageviews, obviously. Sigh. Oh well, the trailer doesn't have any info or anything, so you can skip it. Anyways, definitely check out all the extras after the jump. (Via Geeks of Doom)

In even more exciting news, I am finally getting a PlayStation 3, meaning I will be able to review Blu-rays, PS3 games, and be able to play Uncharted so I know what the fuck I am talking about the next time I do a post on the game or movie. If you all would like to start an Ewok-like celebration chant of "Yub nub!" in the comments, I won't mind.
