Great, now I'm going to be humming "A superstitous cowardly lot" under my breath for the entire day...
-
Oh, we also have the Life museum here in Newcastle! Teaching kids about biology, evolution, cells and human anatomy in the funnest way possible since 1999! I reccomend if you get the chance to attend, you should go. A bit kiddy, but if you bring the younger members of your family along, they'll love it!

You know what I love about bullet time? No one uses it anymore unless they are determined to make themselves look hopelessly out-of-date. I look forward to the day I can love Autotune like that.
-
Seems to me the actor portraying the Joker owes a lot to Cesar Romero. (Not that there's anything wrong with that.)
-
Judging from that promo, the audience will be drugged, so that'll make it actually semi-enjoyable.

As long as it has this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebI8H5nq5L4

It's The Matrix, Neo. There is no spoon.
-
Nope, never said Disney on Ice makes any more sense, but as Elton John points out in a recent SNL sketch, it does translate pretty well to a live stage show. But yeah, I get your point on people doing anything to make a buck.
-
Why yes, Rob, breasts are EXACTLY what I was thinking of! How did you know? I must have been DETECTIVED! BOOM!
-
No problem, that statement about their involvement was purely based on my opinion of U2's music (which I personally do not care for, and would therefore not enjoy a musical written by them), and not meant or insinuate anything about their personalities or quality of character.
-
We also have a Sherlock Holmes museum for the lierary nerds
-
Don't get me wrong, I actually want this list. I think it would be great; "its happening in my fucking country where barely anything this nerdy ever fucking happens" -- your words, sir, your words. We could go back to Stonehenge, all the little details on illuminated manuscripts, Blake's poetry and artwork, anything Laurence Stern did. The list is nearly endless, although I still think Prince Charles ends up pretty high on that list for a number of reasons, both physical and intentional.
-
And "Disney on Ice" makes any more sense? "Hey bob, let's take this here disney movie and make people twirl around on ice skates! Screw the plot!" I'm not saying that it doesn't translate well, but people will do anything for a buck. Then again, if I was a child I'd want to see this so fucking bad.

the late great Doctor Who Museum of Blackpool Dolly the clone sheep
-
Umm.... well, David Attenborough lives here. And our Natural History Museum has the most awesome robot dinosaurs I've ever seen.
-
Alright, what are the odds that some young lad sees this show on opening night, gets his parents shot by a mugger, and the inevitable ensues? We've finally created what even Amanda Waller couldn't: a foolproof method for making Batman...
-
NOT VERY. Unless you count that time he told us nanotechnology would kill us all. And who nerdy doesn't know that?
-
I hate to go all "I know a celeb" but I've worked with Edge a little and he's a nice, nice bloke. Very humble and down to earth. Very polite to everyone. Don't know Bono, though, who might have enough douchery to cover for them both.
-
How did they get them to all hold still like that? That must have taken a lot of will power to hang in mid-air.
-
I would appreciate a list of the nerdiest things ever to have happened in the UK. How high up would Prince Charles be?
-
You know what? I forgot that Bono and The Edge are involved. So that negates anything positive that could be said about Turn Off the Dark.
-
Looks pretty awesome to me. Plus, its fucking Batman and its happening in my fucking country where barely anything this nerdy ever fucking happens. It seems very cheesy, but what other direction could they have realistically taken it? Here's hoping it'll be closer to Brave and the Bold than Batman and Robin.
-
I don't know. I find the prospect of watching a play, which at any time has about a 60% chance of somebody getting seriously injured or killed, pretty exciting.
-
Well I think the interest in superhero live shows is the hope that it will appeal to people. Ill be honest I'll choose a superhero themed show over romeo and juliet.

2 Words, Madame Tusauds
-
I don't really understand the sudden interest in superhero live stage shows. The genre isn't really something that can translate well over to a stage show setting. It seems odd to me to try.
-
That looks like the action figure shelf of any average Batman fan.
-
That Robin symbol using the stylized bow and arrows is actually quite interesting. When you factor in the old-school Golden-Age origin of Dick Grayson's inspiration to choose the 'Robin' identity, it's actually quite clever. Maybe they can do a sequel musical featuring a guest appearance by Green Arrow and Speedy's insignia'll be comprised of hypodermic needles.
-
Would I watch a stage show centering on Robin battling Poison Ivy's breasts for several acts? Yes. Yes, I would. But since that is unlikely to ever exist, this will suffice.
