Wow, some harsh words for us here! Well, we can take it ;)
It's worth noting that we met personally with Blizzard and the sole reason we scored this license is that they loved the prototypes that we prepared so much. I can't share pics with you guys yet -- unfortunately -- but as soon as I can, I will. All I can say is that it's by far one of the most impressive looking construction toys I've ever seen, and I am sure you will all agree.
We're not oblivious to the perception of Mega Bloks as a poor quality LEGO rip-off, but that idea is rooted more in perception than actual fact. We're the only construction company making high-detail, fully articulated micro action figures. We're the only construction company willing to take on mature video game licenses like Halo, Need for Speed, Starcraft and World of Warcraft. If there's a problem with your Mega Bloks set, you can contact me personally and I will do everything to make it right. We take every single comment made about our products very seriously and all suggestions and comments are passed along directly to the management team.
If anyone has any questions or comments for me, feel free to leave a response to my comment and I'll get back to you ASAP!

When Mega hired me, they scouted me out on a toy fansite. I'm seriously just a 22 year old guy who loves toys and wants to get to know fans (and hopefully make some new ones). :)
LEGO and Mega have been doing fig packs for roughly the same amount of time. We're also doing fig packs for our Halo, Dragons Universe and Hello Kitty lines. It was a pretty clear direction to go to promote collect-ability. I don't think anyone accused Pokémon of copying Magic the Gathering when they decided to release card booster packs ... some ideas are just simply common. Collectables have been sold in blind packs pretty much forever.
As for PotC, we used to have the license to it, but since Disney works with LEGO now LEGO now has that license. They're not copying us in that instance, either. Frankly, I think both LEGO and Mega are learning from each other and doing their own thing in that direction. Actually, pretty much every company in every industry learns from their peers.
So I just saw the the Marvel collectable minifigs at Toys R Us . . . why would we not see that as a rip off on what LEGO is already doing?I think that's one of the biggest complaints I hear, is that LEGO does something (a theme, a set, a part) then Megablocks copies it. (although with Pirates of the Carribean, that same can be said of LEGO)
