The new bits start about 30 seconds in: Tony Stark runs down the Avengers roster in what I assume is as glib and sarcastic a manner as the German language allows, and Black Widow actually gets a few lines of dialogue in this trailer. Of course, the German trailer also removes a couple scenes from the North American one that fans dissected months ago, but those are the breaks. I also have a secondary motive for putting this up, as I took two years of German in high school, and I understand about one-tenth of the dialogue in this trailer. No, I wasn't a very good student.

Dude you can check out the new trailer here its so damn sick!!! http://movebee-trailers.blogspot.com/2012/02/avengers-super-bowl-commercial-extended.html
-
Probably because "Klein Adlerauge" was there first. And wasn't he adorable? Who knew he'd grow up to be Jeremy Renner?
-
What I'm saying is the great Justice League cartoon preceded the great Avengers series. Sure, Marvel tried, but look at the garbage they came up with until recently. DC's mistake was to rest on the laurels of their animated victory.
-
I got a few bones to pick with Mr. Miller, like stop making all your female characters whores, and stop making the only brown people in your comics, the villains
-
Am I the only one that gets the creeps from hearing Captain America speak German so well?
-
The music sucks in general? Or for the trailer?
-
Sadly, I haven't understood a word said by anybody in any of your trailers, Bats. Sorry. Goddamn sorry.
-
All the German I know comes from the Rammstein song "Du Hast."
-
I learned that "gentlemen" is "gentlemen" in German. And "playboy" too. ;)
-
I won't front: Every time I watch a new Avengers trailer, I get chills. I am totally fanboy-ing out when this hits theaters.
-
I am pretty sure that this is just a german version of the trailer at the end of Captain America.
-
The Dark Knight Rises
-
If at all possible, I need to remember to add a character named "Adlerauge" to my novels now.
-
And yet, a great Avengers animated series also arrived before the Avengers movie. I'm thinking advantage is still Marvel here.
-
Lucky for you :) "Im Kino" translates as "In Cinema"
-
Having seen both language-versions of the trailer, I actually prefer Captain America's German voice. It sounds deeper, a bit more menacing. But I like Tony making that slightly sarcastic list of who the Avengers are. As a German native, though, I am a bit disappointed that they kept the title as "The Avengers" instead of "Die Rächer". When they first brought the Avengers comic books to Germany they translated the team name as well as all the individual names (as far as it was applicable). So my Avengers as a kid were "Die Rächer", featuring: - Der Eiserne (Iron-Man) - Die Wespe (Wasp) - Die Schwarze Witwe (Black Widow) - and... yeah, they pretty much left the rest of the names unchanged. Sadly Hawkeye was never called "Adlerauge" in the German comics.
-
Oh man, OH MAN!! I was RIGHT!! Tony IS going to steal the show, isn't he?! He's going to be the lovable asshole that Ryan Reynolds' Hal Jordan tried and failed to do in the Green Lantern, isn't he?! XD Either way, thanks for the translation, Deadra!

YOU SHUT YOUR WHORE MOUTH!! YOU SHUT IT RIGHT NOW!!
-
Maybe DC figured that a highly successful animated series featuring their super team before Marvel finally made a good one with theirs was a job well done. I can't really argue.
-
Whoever at DC let Marvel get an Avengers movie out before they even got started on a Justice League movie is pretty bad at their jobs.
-
LOL Where is that cominging from? (It means "My Hovercraft is full of eels" :) )
-
That is one of the few things I learned, and subsequently, one of the few things I remember.

Mein Luftkissenfahrzeug ist voller Aale.

Better hope Frank Miller doesn't read that

Yep. I'd definitely believe he's got giant wood up his ass.

Who wants to see Black Widow persuade Bruce Banner to join? ...I SAID WHO WANTS TO SEE BLACK WIDOW PERSUADE-- wait, is Banner really going to look like a high end New York pimp for some protracted period of time in the movie? Not just in one brief trailer shot? And not only in wildly misguided marketing photo stills? Did anyone explain to anyone on set who the hell Bruce Banner is as a character???
-
5 minutes of hard trailer-watching (oh, the things I'm willing to do...) - here's what I got: [Loki: In the end it's every man for himself. Coulson(?): What do we do? Nick Fury: We get ready. Nick Fury: It was an idea to bring together a group of remarkable people. Black Widow: You have to join. Bruce Banner: And if I say no? Black Widow: Then I'll persuade you. Tony Stark: Let's see who we have here. We have a couple of super-killers, a man with breathtaking anger-management issues, a demigod, a supersoldier, and...me. Nick Fury: Gentlemen, what are you prepared to do? Tony Stark: No offense, but I don't play well with others. Steve Rogers: Big man in a suit of armour... take that away, what are you? Tony Stark: Ahh... genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist. Thor: You have no idea what you're dealing with. Bruce Banner: We're not a team. We're a time-bomb. Tony Stark: If we can't protect the Earth, you can be damn sure we'll avenge it! Tony Stark: You should work on that some more.] You're welcome.

The top three most usal German sentences in American (action)movies: 3) "Halt, wer ist da?" - "Stop, who´s there" 2) "Nimm das du Schweinehund" - "Take that you dirty pig" and on #1 indoubtely: "Stehenbleiben oder ich schieße!" - "Freeze or I´ll shoot!" The most random German sentence from an actionmovie comes from Die Hard, where one of the "Germans" yells: "Shieß das Glas!", which baffled us because it made no sense, until we retranslated it to "Shoot the glass" which made a little sense.
-
Good lord, that music still sucks. Still surprised that they're treating the bad guys as some big secret. It's not exactly "Ducard is Ra's" levels of relevance. Unless all of the Skrulls talk is some sort of incredible swerve.
-
She was an animal rights activist in BTAS, so it makes sense - just attaching her to the latest cause celebre. And stay away from the cats.
-
When I hear German it can only mean 1 of 2 thing "kill the Jews' or "I know nothing" both equally wierd coming out of the Avengers.
-
The one where we find out that Catwoman is just an occupy Gotham protester? Good work there Bats. Well back to beats homeless people with cats, wait or am I banging starfire now, need to decide if I am DCnU or not
-
Stick? Dudes got a whole tree up his ass, and not a small sapling, I'm talking one of those fuckoff huge redwoods

What is the word for someone who hates in others the thing he or she loathes most about him or herself? The psychologists call that projection. I say maybe you should get that rafter out of your eye before you try to get the straw out of mine.

Yeah, the Avengers is pretty cool. But you know what's better? THE MOTHERFUCKING TRAILER FOR MY MOTHERFUCKING MOVIE GRAWGGHH http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m9khpypJZUE
-
I lived in Germany for 2 years and my German is sufficiently awful.
-
This is almost as good as the bits in X-Men: First Class when Magneto speaks German and I get to feel like a genius for knowing 'NEEEEIIIIIINNNNN' means 'NOOOOOOOO'. Good to see I'm putting my German GCSE to good use.
-
Sehr gut,ja?
-
Bro, you're never going to walk right until you let those doctors remove that stick up your ass.
-
I know how you feel. I just finished German 2 and I understand a lot of this trailer. It felt good. haha.
-
Hey, finally something interesting to come from the wholly-unappealing Avengers movie! The first smile I cracked at this whole tiresome ordeal was German!Tony sayin "un ein ZOOPAH SOLDATEN!" That was amusing, at least. I guess I'll have to wait for the European multi-language Blu-Ray to get any enjoyment at all from this tedious Whedon-wank you dipshitty fanboys are jerking yourselves raw over.
