When DC Nation debuts on March 3rd, it will contains two shows: Young Justice, which has gorgeous animation and I enjoy, and the CG Green Lantern series, which many people say is excellent but that I've never gotten around to giving a chance. But I guarantee you there's not going to be anything better than the "New Teen Titans" short that will air at some point during the block, which contains all the original voice actors from the fantastic Teen Titans cartoons but raises the adorable levels by a degree of several millions. If I could actually give a cartoon a hug, it would be this one. (Via Nerd Bastards)

I personally use strong and /strong for <strong>bold</strong>, strike and /strike for <strike>strikethroughs</strike>, and em /em for <em>italics</em>
-
That was basically my reaction, no wait, mine was "... Why." and "Why did they make this canon." and a Kefka-esque "HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE" followed by this face: http://www.toplessrobot.com/maximus%20contempt%20disgust%201.png Basically, I'll never watch the second move remake of the series again. Even seeing the awesome final battle isn't worth it if it means I have to sit through watching one of my favorite characters, and one who I feel is too "innocent" for that kinda shit, get raped by some wannabe D-Reaper.
-
you have to use the html tags bold is easy, it's just b and /b strike is s and /s both get surrounded by the <, and >

.... don't ask me what I was doing last night. On another note, she really DOES sound like Arleen Sorkin... even when she squeals...
-
EVIL LORD ABRAXAS, man!!!!
-
Okay, I'm finally gonna ask... how the hell do you guys do this text editing? It's funny as hell and I want in on it.
-
Oh for the love of fuck... MORE TENTACLES?!?!?!
-
Atta boy!
-
What, it wasn't dumb enough for you? Not even with Nightwing's original outfit?
-
Does this look like a visual metaphor to you? http://img709.imageshack.us/img709/9784/vlcsnap2010013015h05m42.png (NSFW)

*manly squee*

Either that or Slade.

Can do! :D
-
So they just have a food fetish huh??
-
Have you ever seen what Japan eats? Tentacles everywhere. Yet you never see American porn starring chickens.
-
Sorry think you mistaken. It's EVIL LORD ABRAXAS.
-
Woohoo! Teen Titans cartoons are way to much fun!
-
Penis Bebimus Vagina Endimus Abraxas! -bows in respect-
-
I tried. I really tried. But after the sixth or seventh time I ripped up the comic screaming in rage, it just became tooo expensive.
-
Ohhh, you're just askin' for it now...
-
Good LORD, man!!!
-
Does that explain the blue skin?
-
I think you got a bit of my visual metaphor in your incorrect interpretation of events.
-
i was too busy washing the veggies with the na'vis.
-
Oh well... you stick with your silly shit, I'll take Young Justice.
-
Well, they were waiting for you to deliver... and you never did. What the hell, man?
-
Ahhh, I can tell you never read the original comics.
-
Tentacles or no? And on another note, Japan... WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH THE TENTACLES?
-
When I first saw the ads for Teen Titans oh so long ago, I remember thinking it looked really lame, like an anime knock-off or somesuch. But then I watched it, and the show grew on me quite a bit. It had lighter moments and silliness, sure, but ultimately I'm forced to wonder why I ever thought that was a bad thing. It had moments of serious danger and depth, as well as wacky musical numbers. You just can't go wrong there. As for Young Justice, well, it's okay, but man, that show is way too overblown in how serious it takes itself. Everyone's always talking in espionage and military cliches, which really isn't my idea of a kid's superhero show. Still, I don't hate it, and I'll watch it when it's on. And you know, I kinda liked the Green Lantern show premiere, despite my general hatred of Hal Jordan. I guess I liked it because Hal (despite still being dumb) actually showed a few admirable qualities as opposed to us simply being told he has them like in the comics. Not crazy about Red Lanterns, but the story made it work well enough.
-
Ahhh one of the writers for the new 52 I see.
-
He ALSO says he will "Ripley" them a new one....yeah I am crying I because I laughed so much.
-
This, too. And Bridget Hoffman did an admirable job post-timeskip. The main reason I hate the Anti-Spiral so much despite his "good" motivations, while thinking villains who have no "good" motivations like Scar from the Lion King or Beast Wars Megatron are cool is because A) He doesn't have the suave qualities of either of them, B) He doesn't sing awesomely like Scar, and C) THE ANTI-SPIRAL TENTACLE RAPED NIA/STARFIRE AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Yeah, for a guy who's trying to be Abraxas' apprentice in madness, it's funny how even I have a line that can't be crossed, eh?
-
Dear GOD... Abraxas IS the government! He's penetrated (tee hee) every layer of our society!!! He's all about you! All around you!!!! VIOLATING YOU EVERY SECOND OF EVERY MINUTE OF EVERY DAY WITH HIS INNUMERABLE CRAMMING APPENDAGES!!!! RESISTANCE IS FUTA/ILE!!! IT HAS ALREADY WON! YOU'RE NEEEEEEEXXXXXTTTT.....
-
Now I want to molest Raven and Starfire EVEN MORE.
-
You keep Abraxas away from Harley! I don't care how she's dressing these days, he can't have her!
-
I like Nia because she's the only legitimately AWESOME moeblob character I've ever seen in anime. Gal has guts and dignity to spare. Hynden's performance was just the icing on the cake.
-
I didn't think I'd like it much just based on the animation, what won me over was the Mad Mod episode. They needed more of those. I think there was only 2. I never saw the entire series, though.
-
No, but I didn't know you were a G-man... Er, G-abomination.
-
But Young Justice SUCKS!!! *mumbles in corner "never get to do what i want around here"*
-
And here I thought the Dr. was in physcology. Following in our good friend's Scarecrow's shoes. Or maybe Harly's shoes.
-
here's my impression of the fart gas that used to be known as dealwithit: LUL farting is for babies LUL trolling is for babies LUL babies is for babies LUL cramming is for babies -hey wait a minute you! LUL FFF is for babies -ok now you've gone too far!
-
oh just the us federal gov. department of energy to be exact. you didn't think the dr. was just decoration :P
-
Do I really want to know what kind of place Braxy would work...?
-
You never state your own opinion - all you ever do is say "me too!" OR "LUL *INSERT THING HERE* IS FOR BABIES." Be more creative.
-
Hynden Walch is the biggest reason why Nia is the only "moeblob" character I don't hate and actually like. Nobody can pull off adorable like Hynden without sounding forcefully squeaky - take the vast majority of female seiyuu, nowadays.
-
....Sorry for stating my opinion <b>anally</b>! Grow a <s>thicker skin</s> <b>a like like in your nose to snuff the aftertaste of my thoughts</b> Don't worry guy.... My <s>alleged trolling</s> <b>gas</b> <s>ends</s> <b>gets wet</b> here. <s>:)</s> <b>:9</b>

That's ok Doctor. Anticipation is the greatest gift we can give you. Before it's all over in 30 seconds. I think I found what will replace the empty space in my heart after Brave and the Bold finished though.
-
Agreed, "Maybe they could make the characters three dimensional..." Sick burn bro.
-
....Sorry for stating my opinion! Grow a thicker skin bitch! :) Don't worry guy.... My alleged trolling ends here. :)
-
damn my inability to watch these clips at work.....
-
I thought about the new Star fire.
-
Damn! I was hoping for the full short, why can't this be a full series? It's infinitely better than all the new live action Level Up crap that CN has been peddling to kids.
-
ME TOO!!! Whew, i thought I was the only one <b>who lusted after virginal love juices like that!</b>. Although I knew I was in trouble when I <s>1st heard the opening theme song</s> <b>bursted out of my spiderman jockies at the thought of Robin rubbing his asscrack around my crammed penal like like</b>. it's one of the most annoying things I've ever heard!
-
Damn right Hynden Walch is best Starfire, whenever I heard her voice in the Gurren Lagann dub, I couldn't help picturing Nia drinking a 2 liter bottle of mustard.
-
Rob, the fact that you loved the Teen Titans cartoon as much as I do fills my heart with rainbows <b>puked forth from pubescent pony's o-face eyes</b>, to quote <s>Ghirahim</s> <b>Abraxas!</b>
-
I think Braxy has a power load after seeing that.

"<strike>Sago</strike> I refuse<strike>s</strike> to deal with <strike>it</strike> the <strike>dowel</strike> <strong>PENIS of a Like Like</strong> crammed into my <strike>orifice</strike> <strong>PENIS</strong>"
-
I refuse to deal with anyone who fails that hard at trolling. After all, trolling is a art.
-
I was never a big fan of Teen Titans either. I didn't think it was awful, but it never wowed me either. But I would still rather see this Starfire in the DCU, even in ridiculous chibi form, than the mess they're using now.
-
<s>Sago</s> <b>I</b> refuse<s>s</s> to deal with <s>it</s> <b>the dowel crammed into my orifice</b> (sorry, can't help myself...)
-
Sago refuses to deal with it.
-
I'm with Cyborg. I can't see the 3D effect at all!
-
DC already hired FFF writers for the new 52, and look what they did to Starfire :(
-
Nope. That's how part of the Teen Titans theme goes.
-
As long as the writing isn't as terrible as it was for the final season. Ex: The Hotspot episode where Madame Rouge is trying to trick him in order to steal his communicator. Rouge can't get near him, much less touch him, because of his heat. Later in the episode, she just beats him like a punching bag. She has no trouble holding him for extended periods of time, making the whole first half of the story pointless. Yes, Titans had episodes like that before. The Mad Mod episode in season four, themed around the Titans needing a plan because they can't brute force their way to victory (shown by them being pushed to the limits to survive even one of Mad Mod's robots), ends with the Titans effectively brute forcing their way to victory (where the Titans "plan" is to distract Mad Mod by tearing through his army of robots as if they are tissue paper.) But the final season is full of writing disasters like that. Doom Patrol is there for the first two episodes, and it keeps getting mentioned how the Titans are working with them, but Doom Patrol doesn't show up with the Titans for the final battle. The failure that is Titans East return, this time with a "very special episode" that consists of the writers telling people on the internet that Titans East are really great and that the internet didn't give them a chance the first time (ignoring why people didn't like Titans East, and being somewhat sadly funny when Beast Boy's temporary Titans that includes an East character has more heart and likeability than the artificial/corporate-pushed East group.) There were all sorts of problems with the final season.
-
tits and teens, well i'm pleased to see that TR is now officially writing its own FF material :)
-
Freudian typo in the title?
-
Good reasons but I disagree with you about Young Justice not having fun. There have been many occasions that we've seen them having a laugh or chuckle except it's always done on a mission. But...that's the point of the show. It's young superheroes on missions to stop evil. And the team did go to the beach in one episode...sans Wally of couse. Seriously, who starts school in August? I just remember watching the episode "Divide and Conquer" and thinking, "Well, it's interesting but...what's with the all the anime-ish stuff?"But it grew on me and I enjoyed it and judging by the above clip, I still do
-
This is all well and good, but can you really watch this (as enjoyable as it might be) and not be somewhat bothered by thoughts of this Starfire vs what DC is currently doing with her? To her? I mean....well, you get the idea.
-
"Here's a thought: what if you made the CHARACTERS three-dimensional?" Anyone else immediately think of Red Hood and the Outlaws?
-
I would argue that Young Justice has a sense of fun, but it gets overshadowed by the dire straights they get into. I like both Teen Titans and Young Justice. I think they are both good shows with different goals. Teen Titans certainly had its dark moments and Young Justice has its light moments.
-
You know, All I've ever seen you do is say "ME TOO!" whenever someone states an unpopular opinion so it's less obvious you be trollan, or insult Power Rangers and Transformers for being toy commercials, or saying anyone who likes Pokemon and is over 11 needs to get a life, or mock Rob's nerdrage. Failtroll is fail.
-
Yep; looking forward to when these shows start up. And yeah - Green Lantern isn't what I was expecting, but it's entertaining so far. And it has two things we don't get enough of: 1. Josh Keaton doing a non-teenaged voice 2. Tom Kenny as a giant head Red Lantern. (Okay, so he was disembodied as Starscream for a bit, but still.)
-
See, one of the reasons I love Teen Titans and hate Young Justice is that the Titans was fun. Really, most decent (X-Men Evolution, Legion of Superheroes, Static Shock) and great (Spectacular Spider-Man, Generator Rex and, of course, Teen Titans) teen superhero cartoons had a sense of fun - the only ones that don't are Young Justice, which sucks hard, Ben 10 Alien Force/Ultimate Alien, which suck and are a slap in the face to the fun, Silver-Age-with-a-modern-look feel of the original Ben 10, and Batman Beyond, which, despite being a lot darker than your average teen superhero cartoons, actually is one of the greats with Teen Titans and Spectacular Spidey.
-
ME TOO!!!! Whew, i thought I was the only one!! Although I knew I was in trouble when I 1st heard the opening theme song..... It's one of the most annoying things I've ever heard!
-
"...and RIPLEY them a new one." Genius I liked the Teen Titans cartoon even though I was a bit let down because I thought it was going to be dark like BTAS and YJ is today but God damn, I would watch a whole series if it were like this.\ "Here's a thought: Why not make the characters three dimensional." Raven, you will always be the Daria of animated superhero shows and I love you for that
-
Rob, the fact that you loved the Teen Titans cartoon as much as I do fills my heart with rainbows, to quote Ghirahim. Also, Hynden Walch is best Starfire. NO EXCEPTIONS.
-
Yes. Now go sit in the corner and force yourself to watch Young Justice as punishment. :P
-
I tried to get into the Teen Titans cartoon. It looked horrible, but everyone spoke so highly of it. I bought season 1 real cheap and forced myself to watch it. I kept waiting for it to get good or at least for my mind to accept it. It never happened. I'm sorry, guys. I feel like I've let the nerd community down.
-
He was dressed as a Na'vi AND operating a power loader. A great pair of references!
-
Was Control Freak dressed as a Na'Vi? And does that make him officially a subject of Braxy's fantasies? And aren't you glad I asked?
-
I can haz relaunch? Maybe they could explain that ending, would be nice at least.
-
Raven's comments on 3D were amazing.
-
Now don´t take my comment too serious because it isn´t. But fantasizing about going to see a movie? In 3-D? Is creativity officially dead?
-
Great cartoon! It'd be great if they came out with some more episodes. *wishful thinking*
