The kid in me wants to see Avengers for the Hulk...the part of me that wants to see Avengers for The Black Window doing high kicks is not a kid.
The Polish trailer for Avengers is out, and like many international trailers, it contains a great deal of new footage. Unlike most other international trailers, however, this Polish trailer's new footage is almost entirely of Black Widow. I'm not sure why: Maybe because Black Widow is technically Russian and that's as close enough to a hometown hero for Poland? Is Marvel trying to market her as a hometown hero? Or do the Polish just enjoy ogling Scarlet Johansson's leather catsuit-clad body? Because I don't begrudge them that. (Via io9)

Oh.My.God. They're dubbing it?! WHY?:< Seriously, in Poland they tend to dub "movies for kids"* but if the dub part is true (to this point I wasn't interested in the trailers just waited for the movie) then I'm never going to a cinema. Ever!.
And yeah, it's probably gonna be several trailers with other characters. Oh and Rob, Trevin is right on the part against our attitude towards Russians :P
*basically everything that's not live action and several family live action movies as well.... Dunno, how Avatar made it through...so... so long amazing "Brave", hello "Merdia Waleczna" :/
There are two others so far. I saw the Thor, which also is primarily stuff from the Thor film. make of that what you will.
think a little of both plus Marvel figures that to have the film do well in that market might as well use some sex apple to get seats that or black widow must be polands favorite female avenger
That was my thought too. Um... minus the sex apple part. Probably just a classic case of targeting an action film toward a male crowd with tittylicous heroines in black catsuits. Usually works.
Seems like one of the necessary ingredients for a sex apple pie... which sounds really dirty.
Yeah, they did. That concerns me. It might suggest that she's not getting much screen time in Avengers.
I know a few Poles - they have a similar attitude towards Russians as the Irish have towards the English.
Is she even identified as Russian in the movies? I really don't remember her having an accent.
i personally wouldn't go around saying a russian hero would be the reason the polish would follow her.
Methinks this is one of those "character-centric" type of trailers. Who knows? They maybe have a trailer for Hawkeye, one for Cap, etc.
Well, he wears purple, and has a bow. Which contrary to thousands of years of weapons evolution is more effective than a gun somehow. Oh, and he's a smartass.
Its not the bow that makes him so effective, its the wearing of the purple. The Joker wears purple and he's not dead even though he spent years fighting the friggin' BATMAN.
