About three minutes in I was laughing so hard my sides hurt and I was crying. That was way funnier than I thought it would be, and with RoosterTeeth, I was already expecting it to be pretty f**king funny.
This video from the RoosterTeeth guys playing Mari0 (or, more specifically, trying to play Mari0) has been all over the place, but it's still very new, and it's fantastically entertaining, so if you haven't seen it, do yourself a favor and watch it in its entirety over lunch. You know how friendships can be tested when four players play New Super Mario Bros. Wii and have to work together to get through the level when there's no real reward for working together? Well, imagine that, but all the Marios have Portal guns, itchy trigger fingers, and zero ability to foresee the consequences of their portal placement. It's divine. Yep. This is what I imagined how it will end up, considering how much friendship was broken over TWO friggin' portal guns in Portal 2. Let alone FOUR!
I'm beginning to believe the concept of "Co-Op" is a dying one in multiplayer gaming, and given the chance, players would much rather screw each other than help out. Damn.
This game would be a lot more fun if they gave us more time to complete the level so we could just fool around with the Portal Gun.
Doing away with the time limit would help.
The big fault of the Portal Gun is that it really only makes the game harder. Because of the way the stages work, you can't use it for effective shortcuts, and any tricks you can do are either unnecessary or arguably harder than doing it with regular Mario controls.
So the main use of the Portal Gun is to just fool around, and the time limit runs counter to that.
Mind, I admit that I am biased, as I don't really *like* Super Mario Bros. That's why I don't get the enjoyment that others get from Super Mario Bros Crossover.
Well, it has cheat codes,
remember to enter it at the start screen.I think the code was: up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A (If it works you should hear a sound)
Then you just go to options and chose which cheats, such as unlimited time or lives.
I never type the abbreviation to laughing out loud, but damn, I giggled my ass off.
Dude, that was awesome. They accomplished NOTHING. And in doing so, they accomplished everything.
Well, it cost me my soul, but thanks to watching this, I now know what joy is.
