Obviously, getting the Avengers to wear their traditional superhero outfits in their upcoming movie is not going to happen, which is one reason why this Avengers movie trailer redone with their Marvel Legends figures is so great. The other reason is the clever toy substitution -- The Vision for Agent Coulson, Iron Man showing up in pretty much every armor Toy Biz and Hasbro ever made, and most of all -- you know, I'm not going to spoil it; just make sure you watch until the end. Suffice it to say, this fan video has one major tiny-shorts-wearing advantage over the real thing. Much thanks to Al B. for the tip.

Was just trying to explain to my roommate last night how amazing Marvel Legends were, and how much I lament the fall of Toy Biz (haven't bought a superhero action figure since). I think this trailer will get that across.
There were a few Hasbro figures in there.
And Hasbro's brought ML back this year, finally.
I'm not clear what Rob's definition of "traditional superhero outfits" actually is. Because this film has those. In spades.

NOT a traditional superhero outfit, from everything I've seen, certainly nothing like the Hawkeye costume in the comics.
I haven't picked up a comic in the past couple months, but someone told me Clint's switching to that costume or a purplish variation thereof in 616.
So...how long after the movie comes out can we expect the entire movie to be redone in action-figure?
Was watching an old West Wing while waiting for the Kings / Canucks game and sure enough, there's Agent Coulson in the situation room after Bartlet's daughter was kidnapped.
It's hilarious that you can actually draw a line between the two parts. "Before SHIELD, Agent Coulson served on the protective detail with the Secret Service..."
