Richie Branson, extremely talented nerd rapper, has a new song about a cause near and dear to our hearts -- bringing back Toonami to Cartoon Network. He's sort of merged his love of Toonami hits with some of the anime that appeared on Adult Swim, but his heart is in the right place, and his rhymes are awesome, so I'm willing to give him a pass. Spread the word!

Niche product for a niche audience. Y'all have great passion, but (fan) passion isn't going to cause Cartoon Network to change it's TV schedule, or Adult Swim to give a name change to one day of their programming. Now if all the anime fans are trying to do is give Adult Swim more ammo for inside jokes on their ad bumpers and message boards...
Toonami, let me watch anime with my kids. The rap was excellent, poignant, and refreshing. Bring Tom, and Toonami back.
Toonami?! Fuck that. You have the internet at your disposal 24/7. Go torrent bitches.
Hi. How are you? Fine? Good.
I'm not sure whether you're saying that as someone who's trying to troll, or someone who legitamitly (did I mispell that? I can never be sure), but either way, let me explain why Toonami matters. At least, to me.
When I was but a young boy growing up in the 90s, Toonami was my favorite part of the day. All my favorite cartoons, from Dragonball Z, to Outlaw Star, to even Gundam Wing, are shows that I was introduced to during that programming block. I loved it. It was like watching a whole new world appear before me, like I was having a door open for me and being told "There's so much you don't know yet. And here it is. Enjoy yourself."
As I grew up, I learned more about the shows that were on Toonami, and found more new stuff based off of my findings. Hell, it essentially introduced me to anime as a whole, for which I am wholeheartedly thankful. Toonami was a key portion of my life, and not just for the shows. I loved the little blocks between, with TOM just hanging out and chatting with the ship's AI (what was her name again? Dammit, I can't remember. You know, the girl that TOM talked to all the time on the ship?). It had character, and that's just amazing considering how easily it could have been mishandled.
As for the "torrent bitches" remark, I'm not going to deny I've watched anime online without going through "proper" channels. But you want to know why? Because it's all too frequent that I don't have an easier or cheaper way of doing so. But if Toonami were to come back, and play not just the anime I remember but some newer stuff too, I know I'd sit down and watch it, since it's convenient for me time and money wise.
I hope my absurdly long post answers why people loved, and still love, Toonami. I know I can't speak for everyone by saying this, but it's my view, and I just wanted to share it.
This man earns my respect for wanting to see Code Geass on Toonami (even though it aired in AS).
Thank you for informing me of that...Combined with the Toonami Rap, my god it's too much win. I'm just glad he doesn't have an Outlaw Star rap made... my face might go Toht from the sheer awesomeness...!
