The only thing that could possibly make me want that more than I already do would be a LEGO Booster Gold.
Travelers Tales just released a new trailer for Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes; besides giving us tiny glimpses of Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and the Flash in action, it also reveals that the Gotham City setting will be 500 square miles! That's pretty big, especially when you consider Lego characters are only about three-inches high. Unless that's five miles to scale, as if these Lego figures were six feet tall... which is both weird and kind of terrifying. Also confusing, when you could just keep these conceptual Lego figures at their regular size and tell us Gotham's scale as compared to them, which would be several feet, and probably still sound kind of impressive. Or at least prevent assholes like me from asking all these annoying rhetorical questions. (Via ToyNewsI)

So, if they're introducing a Lego Flash and Lego GL in the game, does that mean they will have minifigures soon?
There was a con exclusive movie GL minifig last year, Lego will most likely use the head for a comic version in a future set.
Yeah, but that was for the GL movie POS, with the same movie costume. I want the one they showed here.
I'm not saying they'll re-release the movie GL minifig, I'm saying they already have the head ready for making a comic version like the one in the game. There's no difference in the GL heads - the trailer above even shows him smirking the same way the movie minifig does.
Yea Legos! I'll go tell my wife right now that I will become even more useless soon and then clear my schedule.
Nice that most of the gameplay that isn't Batman and Robin is Flash, a character they didn't even really advertise as BEING in the game before this. I can't wait to try out his gameplay, especially if you can bust other legos just by running into them. If there's like an impact difference I'm gonna be trying to drunkenly top myself for hours.
Will there be Lego versions of Star Sapphire, Cheetah, The Teen Titans (other than Robin and Cyborg) and others?
I really enjoyed the first couple of Lego Star Wars games they had a simplistic charm, and then they just got really complicated. I played co-opt Lego Harry Potter with a friend and found myself saying "Okay. I picked up a thing and I don't know what it is or what to do with it." and I felt really old, older than I really am which is pretty damn old... and decrepit.
That said I love the sound The Flash makes when he runs in this.
Speaking of awesome games that are still awesome - Ogre cleared it's $782,000 kickstarter hurdle (Car Wars returns) and now all the stuff supporters are getting is revealedhttp://www.kickstarter.com/pro...I want.
Still not sure of having them talk, the charm of the Lego games is always the wordless way they tell the stories.
Also hoping it's more than Luthor and the Batman bad guys, I want the Rogues or Sinestro in Lego form!
I also felt that it was a dubious idea to have them talk, but after hearing Superman's, "You think?" I am willing to give it a go.
They're listing one of the preorder packs as including Bizarro, Black Adam, Black Manta, Captain Cold, and Gorilla Grodd.
Actually, that might be a clever/infuriating way to market the game. With having an open-world, it could allow for the possibility of expanding the world with new characters. Hopefully, the simplicity of the game play in a Lego game translates into the game being relatively simple to patch and add on to for the designers and programmers.
