7 Awesome, Silent Minutes of Return of the Jedi Behind-the-Scenes Footage
Ah, back when Joh Yowza and “Jedi Rocks” weren’t even an echo in George Lucas’ ear, and the Sarlacc was a terrifying giant vagina dentata, just as god intended. Apparently this video is footage shot by some fan back in 1982, who Lucas allowed to just wander willy-nilly around the Jabba’s sailbarge set. The grainy film makes it look incredibly old, even though it’s in color, and the lack of an audio track makes me feel like I’m watching the movie get made back in 1923 or something. It’s weird, but cool. Definitely give it a watch if you have a few minutes. (Via The Mary Sue)
