We have to be honest here. Robert Jordan was moving at a glacial pace as well and there had been a drop in quality to some of his later works--I'm looking at you CoT. Sanderson is a wonderful writer and I feel the quality of his work on Wheel of Time has been spectacular. With him at the helm the books final felt like they were moving again.
Oh absolutely. He went from one almost every year, to one every three years. I'm just happy he wanted his life's work to be complete and left pprovisions for it whether it was finished by him or not. Sanderson has become my new favorite author because I started reading his books after finding out he would be finishing WoT.
