• Update: Obviously the consensus was that the VFFA shirt was disrespectful, something I obviously didn't mean and which I doubt the artist meant either. But still, it's bothered enough people that I felt I should take it down. It's its place is one of We Love Fine's less inflammatory, Star Wars design-a-tee contest winners, featuring a multitude of severed arms and hands. Everybody likes forcibly removed limbs, right? It's $25 at We Love Fine.

Because I was late to this I don't get to see the offending shirt and judge for myself.. oh well... Love the Star Wars one though.

Woooo just made it! Was thinking about picking up the turtle one, clicked on the image, read the comments, went to the opened tab. Hey wait - it's just the image, where's the shirt? Went back to the article, saw the link, clicked the link, saw the timer, freaked at the timer..... 2mins 20 secs left. Just had time to click it and pick it up for the fiancee`. Talk about a close save. EDit: oic how their site works now, I still had 24hrs to pay more for it before it's gone for good. Still, saved myself some quick money!
Well handled, Rob. I never once but the blame in your hands for posting it, and I understand that no disrespect was intended. Thank you for listening. Now, if only the replacement post weren't so goddamn disrespectful towards the amputee community.... Just kidding, I love it. And let's all take a moment to ponder George Lucas's obsession with dismemberment.
While I understand the geek need to have fun by sometimes tweaking thing, and the MIA/POW shirt is an amusing idea, as someone who spent 20 years in the US Military, for me it's really past the 'having fun' point.
I almost never make some kind of PC stand like this, but that stormtrooper shirt should not be sold. Maybe if it didn't look exactly like the real thing, it wouldn't be so bad, but the way it is now just seems insulting to our men and women who never made it home.
