Listen to the music! It's a total homage to John Carpenter!!! If you can't be happy about that in a post-apocalyptic Batman movie, then just give up your geek card.
I saw it, I have no complaints with Weller's voice. It's solid and fits the character portrait painted in DKR perfectly. I have no idea what Rob is on about.
Nope. Still sounds like crap. Honestly, I would respect them a thousand times if they delayed this project and redubbed Weller with Conroy.
Yup. Rob wouldn't know Frank Miller's work, if it tried to steal his mother's pearls at gun point.
i'd love if they weren't so afraid/ashamed to use it just compare with the mutant leader fight from TAS, that was super awesome
I can see that. You know, if DC made an animated ASBaR and had someone putting on their best (or worst) BaleBatman growly voice while screaming through piles of ham and cheese, all played completely straight otherwise, I would watch the hell out of that.
I think Rob's confusing DKR with All Star Batman and Robin. See, if ASBatman sounded like this, I'd be upset as well. But This is pretty much exactly how I imagined Dark Knight Rises Batman.
Shouldn't we be saying Professor Weller since he got his degree in Art History? :D
Watched it 10/10 its amazing. To me Kevin Conroy will always be the best sounding batman but he would not have worked for the Dark Knight Returns. Just as Adam West is perfect for the camp batman .Weller is just perfect casting. Bruce is meant to be an emotionless burnt out shell. A rusty trap to quote the novel. I cant state enough how much i love this film. Just cant wait for part 2 to come out. Oh and the UK Blu ray release if they ever set a date.
Sorry didn't bother to read. But have you read BeoWolf where he slays troll The end of Grendel's life was miserable, and he would travel far into the hands of fiends.Grendel, the foe of God, who had long troubled the spirits of menwith his crimes, found that his body could not stand againstthe hand grip of that warrior. Each was hateful to the other alive. The horrible monster endured a wound: the bone-locks of his shoulder gave way, and his sinews sprang out.The glory of battle went to Beowulf, and Grendel, mortally wounded, sought his sad homeunder the fen slope. He knew surely thathis life had reached its end,the number of his days gone. You know all trolls should die like this.
I already saw it yesterday. Generally I don´t like this DCAU movies except for WW, but this one I´ll definitively buy
Taylor Lautner in Touch Of The Sahara Taylor Lautner had finally arrived. He had come to the place champions, of kings: The Sahara! The sand blew through the wind. So soft, like the kiss of an angel of light, of song, of hope. Taylor took off his shirt and let his new elemental love take it away to the south. He closed his eyes, his gorgeous eyes, and sparkling tears of hope drizzled down his face slowly, but very fast. They moved in symphony with his hard, perfect abs formed by the sweetest flesh the native american race had to offer a mortal sexpot as he. He had come here to rediscover himself, to find his inner power, to renew his mighty lion-like passion, to be reborn better, longer, faster, and so much more stronger. He didn't know why. His strength was like that of a offspring of Hercules and and the Elephant King! Then he realized the pain. The pain!!! Kristen had cheated on Rob! It is indeed possible that the films could nay longer be produced and set free like wild doves of crystal ember. He could feel it all. The public had experienced death in it's darkest form. The fangirls hearts fell into endless despair and he was the conduit of the sadness their souls birthed in harems of misery babies. He, Taylor Lautner, was the scorned uncle. The men of Twilight loveth him like he was the wolfman's own child! His soul had been sewn by the lord with a needle of woe and each thread born of the public's sadness. "MAKE! IT! GO! AWAY! THE! HORROR! THE PIERCING WITHIN MY ESSENCE!" The Sahara hears his pain and the winds blow mightier than all wind to ever gust on the rock of water we liveth on! "Taylor....my love....." Taylor falls to his rugged knees, his sexy arms of man-meat tremble with desire for joy, for laughter, and love for all people but mostly K-Stew and Rob. "Who art thou...?" "I am the sahara. It's voice....It's queen...it's desires....it's mystery..." "....and the air which caressed by flesh and bone....my one true love....Sahara...." "Taylor...it can never be eternal...but through our consummation...I shall bring a gift for the world as a whole...." "...Sahara...yes...my love...." The sand whisking it's path along Taylor takes the form a the most beautiful woman to ever exist. The kiss of the warrior and a fertility goddess of which he had earned the passion, the love, and body of where his new gift to Earth. When Taylor rose anew he found his lover gone forever, but now forever with his heart, a newborn heart and soul now healed of the pain. The world may be broken by the affair of Kristen behind Rob's heart, in a small perhaps. But now a man of great power and virtue is here to fix the shattered glass with the greatest power, gifted to him by his goddess. The greatest of all...love.
I always thought Bruce was supposed to be very unemotional in Dark Knight Returns. He's completely burned-out by that time. He's been brooding for so long that's the only thing he has left. Of course, I saw the BTAS Legends episode before reading the book and he was completely deadpan in that. Maybe that's always just colored my perception?
