They're also releasing replicas of the Cap propaganda posters from his movie, too, just so you know. :)
"Coulson actually got very little blood on the cards!"
Coulson didn't get ANY blood on the cards, because he wasn't carrying them when he was killed. Fury got them out of his locker after the fact to spur the Avengers on.
Huh. I just got this mental image of Fury dipping the cards in the wounds of Coulson's still warm body. Ugh!
@LordSoundwave This was such an obvious point made in the movie, and yet people still quibble over it. And I can see why.
Yeah I wanted a deleted scene of Fury dipping and rubbing those cards all over Coulson's chest wound just in case Stark decided to run the cards through some sorta JARVIS DNA app.
@LordSoundwave Which might mean Coulson is still alive and his death was a setup by Shield. But then why the cards with the blood. Coulson is dead. But then, Coulson's death should be enough to unite the team without needing the bloody cards. But then...
@LordSoundwave Item 47 pretty unequivocally confirms that Coulson is dead in one of the first couple scenes, unfortunately. True, it's just dialog, but given that it takes place weeks after the events of The Avengers, I think SHIELD agents would know if he was still alive.
@mrm1138 @LordSoundwave I don't know. I wouldn't put it past Fury at ALL to put things on a need-to-know basis. Especially if he's still in critical condition or something.
@fabrezende LOL I 'liked' your comment. And an 'unlike' option popped up. So, I can like and unlike but I can't edit my own comments? LOL.
@Nikademus Check the original link from The Mary Sue. There ARE posters of that one...
@NewCommentSystemSux @Nikademus In fairness, the design on the War Bonds poster you're thinking off is quite different from the one seen on the Trading Card.
The level of detail on the blood is pretty amazing. You can totally see which card was held closest to Coulson's body and which one was farthest away in the pile.
The collector's OCD in me is somewhat....frustrated that the cards were not in numerical order in Coulson's pocket, though.
Haha. OK. Fury said they were in his pocket. They were still out of order, and that's the part that gets me.
I'll start liking movie Captain A when they stop being cheap about his uniform and give him some body armor. Seriously, the costume is just cheap looking. The one from The First Avenger second half wasn't terrible but the one from Avengers was just cheap.
@Gallen_Dugall I fully agree. I don't ever want to see that crummy suit he wore in The Avengers. While the First Avenger one was a departure, at least it looked somewhat decent. But I'd prefer something more in keeping with the books.
Yep. Though I thought it looked fine when Cap was unmasked in the uniform, I totally hated it otherwise. It looked ridiculous.
