Ugh. Why do you have to remind me of this piece of cinematic excrement, Rob?

The story was blah, Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker was a meh choice at best, and the entire plot was so cheesy a sommelier came over to offer a Thunderbird 20/20 to even out the taste. While I will give credit on how the movie utilizes the web-slinging action so much better than the Raimi movies, creative web slinging does NOT a good movie make!

What a waste of my time, man. I'm much better off re-watching The Room.

Best superhero movie of the year.

Dark Knight Rises was a huge disappointment. Avengers had great character interactions, but a paper thin plot. Spider-Man was often hysterically funny as well as deeply moving and seemed to be able to swing from one to the other like the eponymous lead.

Also, Andrew Garfield finally seemed to play the character as I knew him from the comics in the 90s. I didn't find Tobey Maguire's ludicrous levels of social awkwardness endearing and I had no idea why Kirsten Dunst would, though if she were moderately capable of showing some character perhaps I'd have had more of a clue...

Also, thank goodness they didn't include the "with great power" line as it never made any sense. High school kids do not have "great power". As for all the criticism of this Peter Parker being a dick, why would the uncle criticise him for not taking responsibility if he was a model citizen? He needs to make mistakes in order to learn from them...

I was never a huge fan of Toby as Peter Parker till I watched this movie.

I wish I could just forget about this movie, it bored me to tears.
