Oh yeah, I cried hard during I Remember You. The episode was insanely affecting if you've ever had a parent or grandparent whose had dementia.

• And since none of the other shirt-a-day sites struck my fancy, I'll go ahead and show off my new favorite Adventure Time shirt from WLF, feature Marceline's "Bummer End of Summer Tour." It's $25 at We Love Fine. Speaking of Marceline, did anyone else almost cry when they watched this week's Adventure Time episode? It was like genuinely, devastatingly sad. It's brought an insane new dimensions of tragedy to the otherwise hilarious series which the kids watching my not appreciate now, but certainly will when they're older. I thought AT was legitimately great when I saw the "Princess Cookie" episode; having watched "I Remember You," now I think it's legitimately brilliant, too.

"because Why?" Seriously, if Lucas want's to go back and digitally alter the original exchange between Luke and Vader in empire to this I honestly don't know if I would have a problem with it.
I really like how the guys at Adventure Time were really considerate of the young kids that watch the show. While the adults are sniffling about the lyrics, the kids are concentrating on the Ice King wailing on the drums. I was more affected by Abraham Lincoln's sacrifice for Jake.
@RevrendIke3x Kids who watch AT are more perceptive than you'd think; while babysitting for a friend, the kids and I were watching the King Worm episode and her eldest (a mere 10 years old) noticed that Finn's hat 'ears' were taller then usual, which was the animator's clue for when Finn is in the dream world.

There was no 'almost' about it; I cried until my face hurt. Marceline and Ice King are the series sad reminders of Oo's tragic past and even without that backstory, the episode is still a brilliant(ly heartbreaking) example of how mental illness can tear people apart. I actually hated F&J interrupting their jam session...

I can't remember the last time I've felt as bad for a character as I do for the Ice King. If people missed the "Holly Jolly Secrets" two parter that aired about a year ago, that's where they first get into the tragedy of his past, and why he's so obsessed with princesses. Its incredibly sad stuff, only compounded this week with the revelation of how it affected those close to him.

Princess Cookie is my favourite Adventure Time episode. The first time I watched that I expected a funny little cop movie parody starring the awesome Donald Faison. What I got was perhaps the most moving and ridiculously sad 11 minutes of my TV watching life. Beautiful cartoon.
And this one was great too. Any time they go into the tragic hilarity of the Ice King's past it gets me.

"almost" cried when they watched "I Remember You"? Rob, I think it's safe to say that we all officially shedded "Jurassic Bark" levels of tears by the end song.

I felt that way too whilst I was watching it with my daughters. I put that moment in the same league as Fry finding out his nephew was named after him or *gulp* Seymour. seriously great episode.

I have no shame in saying I was on the verge of tears watching this weeks Adventure Time......even when I went to sleep that night, it weighed on my mind. A more tragic twist to such a non threatening villain....

I watched that episode of Adventure Time too. I still can't believe its still considered a kids show. It has a more deeply written story arc than most 'adult' programs.
Loving the Indiana/Donkey Kong shirt.
Star Wars shirt is good too.
I wish they came in sweatshirts, it's getting cold around here.
