Is it just me, or does the guy who receives Adama at the start of the first episode look waaaaay more like a young Edward James Olmos than the guy who actually plays him? like, way more?
The first two episodes of the Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome webseries are here, so... I no longer have to post clips or trailers about them. Yay! They're both over 10 minutes long, and since I have a Very Special FFF to get ready for later, so I haven't watched all of them -- I just saw enough of the first to learn the reason Adama survived the clip from the other day was that he was in a sim, and apparently you don't get docked points for killing yourself as long as you kill all the enemies first. Also I learned that Bill signs letters to his dad as "William Adama," which seems a tad formal to me, but whatevs. Episode 2 is after the jump. (Via The Mary Sue)

NuBSG should die. Not because I hated it, well, I hated the ending. But fill-in-the-blanks history is meaningless when the outcome is "god's plan" aka endless cycle of evil.
From the reality-ends-up-being-a-hologram intro, to the cocky pilot 's arrival aboard ship, to the war-weary partner, to the assignment of a simple mission that you just know is going to action-packed, it was all very much been there, done that.
I sign letters to my parents:
Sincerely,
Your Most Unnatural and Horrific Spawn
@Gallen_Dugall I usually don't sign them at all. Keeps evidence down that we know each other ...... and really that makes us both happy.
Would the reason he signs it as "William" rather than "Bill" be perhaps related to the twist at the end of Caprica?
Sorry to be off topic Rob but I don't twitter. You mean this isn't the Health page??!! What was my drinking regiment for then?
All right I surrender on this. Doesn't seem that original. Every cliche done and I haven't gotten through the first video.
@Someguy Yeah, I managed to scoff work long enough to watch the first one, and wasn't all that impressed. I've seen this setup before, many, many times. Hopefully it'll pick up a bit before long.
Dammit work, stop being so busy! I want to savor every last moment of Topless Robot!
@CaptainZADL Yes, it figures Rob's last day is my busiest. Rob you have to stay there until 10 P.M.
@CaptainZADL Oh come on. We all know the Rob Bricken role is like James Bond. Someone else will come along to play the role for a while, and then someone else...but in the end, there will be only ONE man who really, truly inhabited the role.
And that man will be Roger Moore.
A sim? Well, then is the most idiotic sim I've ever seen in Sci-Fi, since it lets you pull crap like that. Even Kirk had to hack the computer for the Kobayashi Maru test, he couldn't just "have his way" in that.
@AFMG Nerd rage will not be denied. It can be dealt with, but never eliminated entirely.
