I guess I'll be spending the rest of the day trying to track down a clip of Steve Martin's "Bullets Aren't Cheap"
More links from around the web!
@OneMinuteGalactica That turn of phrase always makes me want to interrupt someone, preferably by spilling food on them.
@SteveAsat @OneMinuteGalactica It makes sense if you're talking about a number like 54. Then you can say over 50 people. Or if it's 22, over twenty people.
But when it's a number like 12, and you say over 11 people...yeah, it makes me feel the same way as you.
Is the embedded video broken? I see nothing there. Anyone else having problems?
@Lithroe I was just going to say, was there any opening better than Moonraker? A mid-air fight for a parachute? Just from the perspective of difficulty of filming, could any other opening come even close? I could have done without the fall into the circus tent, but otherwise, loved it.
@Lithroe Moonraker gets props for microwave frequency lasers and for not being about stolen nuclear weapons, but it was well into the era where Bond films were a parody of themselves
@Gallen_Dugall It's where I learned I could float by flapping my arms. I broke my arm attempting, but I'm sure all get the hang of it.
@Gallen_Dugall @Lithroe The main things I remember for A View To A Kill are the theme song, and Grace Jones...she tends to stand out.
Other than that...nada.
It had horses in it, I think?
@Gallen_Dugall @Lithroe By "it works perfectly well in low gravity or dense atmospheres" I am assuming you mean an edit button because how or why in the fuck doesn't voice have this by now? We were told it was coming weeks ago. In fact why did they start a service based on entering and displaying text without a god damn edit button? I would assume the same people who leave the house without pants unintentionally or forget how doors work but somehow remember the basics of binary math. WHAT GOOD IS KNOWING HOW TO MAKE A WEB SERVICE IF YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND RUDIMENTARY FUNCTION-GODDAMN-ALITY!
Sincerely,
FUUUUUUUUU~~~~~~
@Lithroe @Gallen_Dugall @Bookfisher Damn it voice. I clicked first. FFFFFFIIIIIIIIRRRRRRSSSSTTTT!! There goes that joke.
@Gallen_Dugall @Lithroe @Bookfisher Oh how nice of you Gallen_Dugall. I'd be glad to take a regifted set. Thanks both of you.
@Gallen_Dugall @Bookfisher I've asked everyone I know for the set, if I get two, one is all yours.
@Lithroe @Bookfisher unless you don't mind regifting to a stranger you met on the interwebs...
@Bookfisher @Gallen_Dugall These last couple days of discussion make me want to run out and by that Bond 50 Blu-Ray Set. I gotta fight that urge, Christmas coming. Must. Not. Buy.
@Gallen_Dugall @Lithroe And the complete antithesis to Tracy Bond , Tiffany Case, god, she was dumb
@Bookfisher @Lithroe Diamonds Are Forever - with the gay assassin couple? CLASSIC!
@Gallen_Dugall @Lithroe hah! thats "Diamonds lasts forever" , Walken and Grace Jones saves "a view to kill"
@Lithroe I give it to View to a Kill because I can't remember anything that happened in it. Bond movies can be many things but they shouldn't be unmemorable.
@Gallen_Dugall I should also point out Robert Carlyle was great and made it worth it.
@Gallen_Dugall As much as I loved Bronson as Bond, for my money it's The World Is Not Enough. Denise Richards nearly destroyed that movie for me. I agree though, none are absolutely terrible.
@Lithroe it works perfectly well in low gravity or dense atmospheres
one thing you can say about Bond movies is that none of them were unwatchably bad - I consider "A View to a Kill" to be the worst
Did Rob take the Daily List with him too? That would make me pout and stomp my little foot.
@doctor_mindbender One of the Voice media people was on here yesterday and he said they will continue. Plus our beloved Chris probably hasn't had time to figure out where Rob left his stuff. But I really don't think that is a good enough excuse to let Chris off the hook.
CHRISSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
@Someguy @doctor_mindbender meh - I'll just keep clicking on the ad links - I just discovered something called an enchilada which may or may not be edible
@doctor_mindbender I would guess it has to do with the money to pay for the articles which is probably attached to whoever is going to be doing this full time or may simply be an expense that isn't presently justified.
We could click on the ad links for a while and see what happens.
