I spent the bulk of my free time playing Battlefield 3, now when I hear a chopper I fell the need to seek cover, also in other FPS I try to spot

Bobby Sussman
When I was a kid, if I felt particularly ambitious, I would spend the day renacting the entirety of The Empire Strikes Back with the vintage Kenner toys. This was a challenge back when the Millennium Falcon cockpit only held two figures, and not well, but I made it happen. It was the only one of the three movies I could do - I got into the toys a bit too late to have anything resembling the Death Star, and there was just too much stuff in Jedi, much of it unmade or impossible-to-get at that time.
A guy named Bobby Sussman has taken a similar ambition to its fullest extent: he spent his year recreating every scene from The Empire Strikes Back with toys and an iPhone. No Photoshop. He's getting close to the end now.
It's not all he does - there are also photos of Daleks singing Christmas carols, and Slimer riding in Doc Brown's DeLorean. Go check it out - it'll make you happy for humanity

My 2012? A little bitter sweet:
I finally achieved one of my dreams and got a credit on the big screen!!! but...
...it was for Breaking Dawn 2
lol, seriously not complaining though :) Excellent year
I moved from Australia to London, England of a whim end of 2011. Found work as an artist at Capcom. Nerd highlights include: A IDW artist giving me his editors contact (nothing came from it, except for some positive feedback). Meeting Alan Moore at a signing, chatting to Chris Claremont at a convention. Meeting that dream nerdy comic book making/loving girl you always wanted to meet and date (it regrettably ended after a few months, but what a few months they were!). Now deciding if I should go back to Australia soon, it's grey and cold expensive and pretty lonely here.
Fighting stupid decisions made by other people and failing to win. So far. The fight continues. Come on, there's very little nerdier than that.
On a semi-related note, my first comic shop had a massive replica of the Millenium Falcon hanging from the ceiling over our back issues. It was so big and so detailed that its weekly dusting took half an hour. Someone put about three or four loose action figures on top of it (mostly X-Men and Spider-Man figures) and there was room for a dozen more but we didn't want to crowd it. We ended up having to sell it and it took two people to get it out the front door and into the back of the pickup truck. But it did go to a Star Wars fan whose girlfriend used to work in the store before she went back to school and the shop changed owners.
I do not miss dusting it.
I spent far too much of my time at a job I hate with little prospect for finding a steady job I do enjoy.
Like everyone else on here i wasted away the hours on here and loved every single minute of it! I also started to raise a beautiful daughter and get her primed for the nerd world that lies ahead (by putting her in Batman, Superman and zombie themed shirts and watching My Little Pony).
Also i went to my first convention, Fan Expo in Toronto, Canada where i got to meet John Carpenter and Captain Jack Harkness! By the way, i made a vow to do a TR meet up for the next Fan Expo here in Toronto. So clear your calenders.
@Canadian.Scott John Carpenter needs to make a movie with John Barrowman. Yesterday.
Had nerdling number 2! Discovered Dr. Who. 100% on Mass Effect 1 and 2. Dropped 30lbs. Good year!!!!!!
@10glfan59 So you finished Mass Effect 1 and 2 or you did EVERYTHING in Mass Effect 1 and 2? Because I finished them, well worth finishing, but especially on 1 that is a lot of stuff to do and then on 2 there was gobs of DLC
I have been working on them both off and on for about a year and a half. I got 100% on 2 long before I got it in 1. The grinding in one is what took so long but I did do a lot of the planet surveys before I originally finished it. I love me some side quest. I think this year I am going to try to finish Skyrim.
@10glfan59 never played the DLC myself because I couldn't afford it (got both 1 and 2 for $4 off Steam) - I did cheat the crap out of my character so that there wasn't so much grinding
So you did all the planet surveys on 1? Because those took so long that I didn't bother with them - just the ones that were mission based. Missed the MACO in 2 which was a lighter game overall.
I spent it online....since I have no life.
I have been on TR, Facebook, tumblr, FimFiction, and Twitter.....

@Timely-Tardis-Lego Lives are overrated - I always figure out cheats to get infinite lives, doesn't make the game any better
I quit my job teaching social skills to kids with autism and moved to LA to pursue my writing/music career.
@Regular_Stormy You don't say??? :)
In other news, I got an awesome new roommate who is not only incredibly talented, but is breathing new life into my pursuit in LA!
We might work together...if he ever beats Ninja Gaiden!
@Regular_Stormy According to, just about, every Hallmark channel and Disney movie I've ever seen you did that out of order.
But I wish you good luck!
I wrote a sequel to Death Bed: The Bed That Eats People...........
Spend my 2012 doing? Slow down Luke. Lets finish up 1997 first. I mean if it was 2012 I would be old and really have wasted my life.
Hunting the Horde in World of Warcraft ,Mists of Pandaria. Finally watching all of Samurai Champloo, and getting engaged to my partner.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_wrPLrP9xc8
aside from following in the wise footsteps of skrag2112 I matched wits with the worlds first AI
