Now that we know the Mayans just got tired of chronicling a future long after they would be alive, let's get back to being entertained, shall we?

As you may know now, Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are teaming up again on yet another movie about journeying to a legendary pub when an apocalypse happens (it's probably not zombies this time). In a happy coincidence of timing, they wrapped just in time for the alleged apocalypse day, and Pegg just tweeted out the first official still. There's not much to really be deduced from it - yes, it's Pegg doing that confused look he does so well. Still, if Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz were like two parts of a trilogy, then this is the third. And it just occurred to me I could probably say that about any three films, ever.

The red-band trailer for Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg's This Is the End has hit, complete with an extremely lewd intro by Rogen and costar James Franco. They play themselves in the movie, as do Danny McBride, Jay Baruchel, Michael Cera, Emma Watson, Paul Rudd, Jonah Hill and more. If by "themselves" you mean the worst possible caricatures of how awful you might imagine celebrities to be - McBride's joy when he hears that Cera has died is one of the many highlights in the clip below. Very NSFW and very funny.
