Really wanted to watch all the video, but damn, that was some bad music. And the kid reminds me of Harold from Harold & Maude completely.

Yeah, I thought Tim Burton had lost his edge a long time ago too. But maybe ditching Johnny Depp and reteaming with Winona Ryder was what it took to get him on track. Because yeah, their video for the Killer's "Here with Me" has the usual black clothing and spirals and all the stereotypically Burton-y stuff, but it's also genuinely unsettling and doesn't feel like goth posing.
In fact, it may be TMI. A creepy kid obsesses over a celebrity and then takes home a mannequin of her that comes to life; is it a stretch to imagine that this is how Burton perceives his leading ladies, or perhaps even Mr. Depp?
And is there a more 2012 lyric in existence than "Don't want your picture on my cell phone?"

The whole candle-headed thing at the end gave me a serious Grant Morrison-era "Doom Patrol" vibe, which for me is a good thing.
I got a definite "Dark City" vibe from the boy's appearance. And Brandon Flowers looks very Jonny Lee Miller in this video. That being said, this is my favourite track off the "BattleBorn" album (though I greatly like "Prize Fighter" from the deluxe edition) and I'm glad there's an actual video to represent it now.
It was sorta creepy but somehow I was expecting something more disturbing.
i think I'm experiencing FFF withwrawal.
Did Joseph Gordon-Levitt get the special effects guys from "Looper" to make him look 15 years younger?!!!!
Tim Burton's Mannequin
Now I have an uncomfortable urge to hear The Killers cover Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now
@arivalscientist +1 to the cover and +11 to Tim Burton actually making this Milf-y remake of Mannequin.
It could be the first Tim Burton prospect that has excited me in 15 years.
see now i always figured burton was the kind of guy who got off watching his wife with a dead man - hence the unnatural obsession with a corpsy-looking depp.
@DrAbraxas I watched this and immediately thought of you. I would ask if you were a consultant, but I didn't see any cramming.
@DrAbraxas Well, if you want something more along the lines of that, there's always his music video for "Bones": http://youtu.be/FufL80hJsP8
@SlyDante777 @DrAbraxas They seem to have a creepy vibe in all of the videos. Here we have a homicidal Santa.
@Ford_Thundercougarfalconbird @SlyDante777 @DrAbraxas No, Tim Burton is Jack Skellington wanting to be Santa.
@SlyDante777 @Ford_Thundercougarfalconbird @DrAbraxas Well, I've always felt The Killers have a great theatrical flair. Brandon Flowers could take over on vocals for Queen any day. So we now have determined Burton like The Killers, they also like Christmas, and have a flair for the dramatic and macabre... So, Tim Burton is Santa??
@Ford_Thundercougarfalconbird @SlyDante777 @DrAbraxas That is legitimately damn creepy, but I was also referring to the fact that Burton directed "Bones" as well. Come to think of it, he also had them do a cover song for Dark Shadows...
Also, that's not even the first video where Santa has a vendetta against The Killers (though as mentionedd, it is the creepiest). http://youtu.be/cglLJJ0Czo8
